Easter weekend was absolutely amazing!!! We had lots of Easter festivities and everything felt happy. It was kind of a stressful and really busy few days leading up to the weekend so I was really excited to escape a couple hours upstate with friends. Chauncey ran around like crazy with my friend Hayley’s dog, Iggy, and he has been sleeping since we got home Saturday night! He is SO worn out. The boys got to fly fish and us girls just hung out with the babies! We stayed at this cabin in the middle of no where and it was kind of magical seeing Atticus and Chauncey running around in wide open spaces.
We got home Saturday night and ‘hid’ all the eggs and made the kid’s Easter baskets! Atticus was so excited when he woke up – he first saw his basket and then got distracted by all the eggs. He loved going around and picking them all up and I loved watching him. He was so excited about each egg and didn’t even open them all because he was so into what was inside of each one so we have been slowly opening them and will probably have them all open in the next few days haha. We then went to church to remember why we celebrate Easter but we didn’t last the whole time because Atticus was more than ready for his nap. Rosie wore my Easter dress that I wore when I was little and it felt really really special to me! I must have said it a million times because David joked sarcastically like “wait is that your dress?” ….. whoops. I was REALLY excited. She was unusually happy that day too – she was just flirting and playing all day! She keeps doing this thing where she makes fart noises with her mouth and giggles after. She thinks its so funny and its so cute!!! We love seeing her personality come out more and more. She is slowly approaching my favorite baby age – 6 months!!!
We finished the day by playing on the bed – dad was tickling the kids, throwing A on pillows, Chauncey was snuggling Rosie, and it was a goooooood day. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
P.S. Did you notice I cut bangs?!?! Will talk more on that later 😉
