Barefoot Blonde

Today I have a hair style inspired by Scarlett Johansson. It is a 40’s/50’s retro hair style that might take some guts to wear out but I really love it. I think your hair can be such a great accessory, if you have great hair style, everything else falls into place.

I washed my hair and while my hair is naturally straight, it is still frizzy and fluffy after it is blow dried or has air dried, but it stayed silky and smooth thanks to my TRESemmé 7 Day Keratin Smooth System.

I included pics below of a how to and also pics from me wearing this style out on the town for the Monique Lhuillier show (which was so unreal, such a dream). You can see my bump but it looks smaller in the photos, it is more true to size in the instagram I posted 🙂

1. To prep the hair for continued sleekness, wash the hair with TRESemmé 7 Day Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner, then blow dry.

2. Smooth a dollop of TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Smoothing Crème Serum over bottom half of strands for added smoothness.

3. Take a two-inch section from the front of the crown. Mist a bit of TRESemmé TRES Two Hairspray giving the hair some hold in preparation for the pin curl.

4. Make a vertical pin curl with the hair by wrapping it under and secure with a bobby pin making sure to hide the pin as much as possible. (I kind of didn’t realize mine was showing so much, whoops!)

5. Twist both sides back and secure with bobby pins. Touch up on the hair ends with a curling iron if needed.

*For extra shine and sleekness, mist on TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Illuminating Shine Spray!!

  1. I love how well the curl hold up through the day. I’ve never tried a look with a retro inspiration, but I think I’ll give it a shot!
Ah, the baby bump is here!!
