This year we rented a car from Avis and went to a Tree Farm in Connecticut to get our Christmas tree!!! I have always wanted to do this and something about cutting a tree down seemed so magical and it was just as amazing as I thought it would be! It was SUCH a fun day and I hope we can have this be a new tradition of ours. While we were out there we teamed up with our friend, Slade, who is an amazing commercial director to make a little Christmas card video and it is something I will cherish forever! He came to us with a really cool idea he had where we make a polished video and then have it cut to the behind the scenes with film from in between shots and show kind of what it took to make the video! When David and I watched the finished product for the first time we both totally teared up. It definitely reminded us how blessed we are to have this family of ours.. family really is everything.
I hope you guys like the video and make sure you subscribe to Slade’s channel! He is going to be doing lots of videos similar to this – he is amazingly talented and his videos are so fun to watch. David and I love meeting creative people who are go getters and come up with new ideas like Slade and his wife do.. all of our friends we have made in New York are nothing short of that.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we have so many fun things planned! Cookie decorating, a holiday puppet show, santa (going to try again just for fun), a sleepover by the tree, caroling at Washington Square Park, and more. I am so excited! Especially to see the kiddos in their pj’s we got for them in Norway when I was pregnant! Also, Atticus flipppps out any time he sees a teddy bear in a store, especially the big ones. For his gift this year we got him one of those big 6 ft teddy bears and he is going to have a heart attack when he sees it, its going to be so great! And I am also proud of myself for finally doing a Christmas card.. Haha I have always wanted to but I am not one to send cards usually.. I don’t appreciate sending mail as much as I should and have been trying to be better at sending thank you cards instead of texts and doing announcement cards, etc. So I finally made one on Minted this year and was surprised how easy it is (who knew you just upload an excel doc and THEY address them?! GAME CHANGER) and now I am wondering why it took me so long to do this!
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!!! Thank you for following along! Xo
