Today, my husband David is taking over the blog to share some men’s fashion! He felt so awkward doing this but he was such a trooper 😉

Chances are the man in your life won’t read this, that’s where you come in. Like most guys, I prefer to be in gym shorts and a tank top. But there’s nothing worse than going out with Amber who’s dressed to the nines, while I look like I just got done mowing lawns. I get that, “what’s he doing with her?” look. Don’t get me wrong, I realize that regardless of how I dress, Amber is the one turning heads, but I have to try to at least keep up. We recently visited GGP’s mall in New Jersey and she helped me pick out some pieces from trends that we’ll see in men’s fashion this fall.

I typically play it safe with fashion and like to stick to classics. All three of these looks are pretty casual. We looked for slim/skinny denim or chinos, heavy wools or oxfords, and t-shirts for layering. I like simple shoes, Vans, Chukkas, sneakers. I can’t even believe I’m about to say the word “accessorize” because I don’t. For me that’s a good hat, glasses and possibly a watch. I avoid really bright colors, which is why I love fall.  If I look like I’m on my way to Montana, then I’m feeling good.

GGP has you covered for Fall. Check out Amber’s Fall Lookbook and the GGP Fall Fashion Guide for easy work, weekend and night-time looks, and to find your local GGP mall.

*Thank you to GGP for sponsoring this post.

  1. I LOVE your blog and your family brings a smile to my face. I was curious in what camera lens you and David use to take such wonderful pictures! (of course if you don’t mind me asking) Lots of love! xoxo

  2. Ahh..i was smiling while reading this post. David, you’ve just hit directly the nail! My husband is also far from fashion, but he ties his best to match..What about accessories, tieing a scarf is still a problem for him. Love your writing style! Your family is such an inspiration! And hello from Russia.)

  3. This was fantastic, well done David for doing this. It is embarrassing but just remember that amber gets embarrassed talking to the camera during her tutorials when you can hear!

Amber, I’m a long time reader of your blog and I follow you on YouTube, pinterest and instagram and it’s just getting better and better so well done you. I really look up to you and your family, you inspired me after I had my daughter 10 months ago to really look after my skin, eat well and put on my makeup/make an effort every day and I feel great for it. It’s so hard to do some days when my daughter is teething and I’ve been up all night and I’m exhausted but your pictures really do give me a pick me up and inspire me to do my best. I’ve now lost 4 stone and am feeling better about myself than ever so thank you so much.

    Cara x

  4. I love this post! My husband also always wants to look like he’s heading to Montana so I love seeing items that I can snag for him too! Thanks, Amber- keep being awesome!

  5. I like this feature…seeing men’s fashion, kinda fun! And bravo for your hubby, even though he felt awkward…it’s okay, we all feel awkward getting our pics taken, at least most of us do. Plus, it’s nice seeing the hubs featured, as he’s such a part of the blog and your life…he seems so supportive and sweet (reminds of my hubby) – I always smile when you mention he makes you brekky EVERY single morning…now that’s a keeper, my friend!
