This was our first beach day in Hamilton Island!!! The beach is so fun there because in the afternoons the tide goes super low and you can take the kids into fun little tide pools and look for crabs and shells! They had little activities for the kids after so Atticus got his face painted and got to decorate this little picture frame. Rosie is SUCH a little fearless swimmer – she just goes for it and it makes me so nervous since she is such a fast walker. I feel like I am on edge in the pool with just those two by myself. They both are so busy!!! The kiddos also lovvve to get buried in the sand. It is their favorite thing to do at the beach right now and they think it is so funny. They also love to dig for “treasure” and look for pirates.
It feels so weird to be coming home to Hawaii this week! We were only there a week before coming on this trip so it still feels surreal that we will be there for 6 months (or longer!) I am counting down the minutes til Chauncey can join us. At the beach right by our spot in Hawaii there is a dog that looks just like Chauncey -who is there every night – I can’t wait for them to be buddies! He is having so much fun playing in the snow and going on hikes which makes me happy.
As soon as we get home this week I need to hurry and get on Christmas traditions for the kids! Taking them to see santa, opening our Christmas books and reading them in jammies, and we need to put our ornaments on. David had the kids collect little pieces of coral and paint them and make ornaments for our tree this year. We already did gingerbread houses and have been trying to show them all the Christmas trees around Australia we see and sing all the Christmas songs 😉 After Christmas my family comes to visit us and I am soooo excited!!! It will be over my dad and nephews birthdays so we are going to do some partying 🙂
Tomorrow is our last day in Sydney and we have some fun plans. Then we just have to gear up for the 10 hour flight home —- ahhh.
