I have been obsessing over the rockstud heel forever… but I felt like I was too late in the game to buy them and everyone already had them.. but then I saw the leopard ones available for preorder and I had to bite the bullet and get them! They are my new favorite shoes and the best part is how comfortable they are!! 🙂

  1. Hi !!! When I had an Instagram I used to follow you and your pictures are absolutely stunning . I just saw your snap story and there was a book I believe your husband was holding FHE ? Is that a sketch book ?

  2. I have been crushing over this top ever since your post!! Unfortunately now I am having a hard time locating! ANy ideas on where to look?? Do you ever sell your pieces when you no longer want them??
    Love your site!!

    1. Hey girl!! It must be unavailable.. not sure where it would be but I would try just googling it! I have considered selling clothes but haven’t gotten around to it! I will very soon though!! xo

  3. I’m not Mormom, and I don’t think I could be after some of these comments. How harsh and judgemental. Is that sharing the love of God? I rather be known for being FOR something and not against such trivial things. What a horrible witness….

    1. It is very sad that there are so many judgemental people 🙁 but I promise the people writing mean things are only a small percent of the church!

      1. I’ve gotten a good chuckle from several of the posts concerning your modesty. Ironically I stumbled upon your Instagram first, looked at some of your posts and thought, “She dresses like she’s lds.” The scarcity of anything sleeveless (other than swimsuits) was the giveaway. Then I saw your husband in a BYU t-shirt and my suspicions were confirmed. No one seemed to mind Steve Young playing football every Sunday and I believe you should be given the same consideration. I see no reason why you can’t do your job while still honoring your covenants. It made me smile to see pre-wedding pics with many sleeveless tops switch to sleeves in the post-wedding pics. It’s a shame that some people just want to dwell on the negatives.

  4. Hi Amber!! Have followed your blog and been a fan for a long time now and this is my favorite of any outfit you’ve ever worn!! I am DYING over this top! I have been searching the Internet and the only place I can find a small or extra small is in Australia and final sale! Eek! Makes me nervous 😉 stay at home mama so hate to waste money if it doesnt fit 😉 what size is yours? Trying to decide between the two… Also, Do you ever sell the things you’ve worn?
Thanks for the helpful info! I am so hoping to order one myself!

    1. Hey Kristin! Thanks so much girl!! I got a small but could have also gone with an extra small! So I say go for it! I did have to pin it to keep the top from opening up because the V is very deep but no one would know you pinned it 🙂

  5. You look amazing! Keep doing what you’re doing and don’t listen to the people who think it’s their place to rain down judgment on you.

  6. Love this (and all) your other outfits! You are my favorite! Sad to see so many judgemental people on your great blog.

  7. Love this whole outfit!! I’m lds and I think you look amazing! You can do whatever you want because it’s your life. I think you are a great example!! Following your dreams!! I hope you and your husband have an amazing trip! Be safe !! These women who say they are lds are not following the commandments. Why would anyone want to join the church when these women are just cruel to other women. As women in the church we are raised to love one another and to set an example. Amber I have loved your blog for a long time !! Keep your head up

    1. Thank you so much Amber!! That is so unbelievably nice of you to say 🙂 and I agree I think as women we need to be empowering one another instead of tearing each other down 🙂

  8. Amber,
I am obsessed with your blog and style and just want you to know I think all the negative comments on this post are almost laughable how ridiculous they are. Your responses are perfect btw. Do your thing girl!

  9. Those shoes. I’d never look up when walking. I would just stare at them. Amazing! Enjoy your fabulous trip! Takes lots of pictures in your immodest clothing and please post about it so I can see how amazing you look in them. 😉 love and peace

  10. Amber, you look so Amazing and I am so so in Love with your Leopard heels!!!! You continue enjoying your time with your husband, and do not dare worry a second about what anybody else thinks of you! You are simply a Beautiful woman enjoying this Beautiful world and that is just nobody’s business! XO

    1. Thanks so much Michelle!! You are always so so sweet and I absolutely love reading your comments! You always brighten my day! Hope you are having an amazing weekend love! And thanks again for your kind words 🙂 xo

  11. Hi, Amber. I think you are a lovely young lady with a keen sense of fashion. It’s difficult for me to conceive the reason that other readers find it necessary to judge you on a public forum on an issue that is clearly both personal and inappropriate to discuss here. You’ve done a wonderful job keeping your head held high. And girl, spend the money, you certainly can’t take it with you when you die. Keep doing what you’re doing, you are fabulous!

    Xoxo, Andrea

    1. Andrea,

I feel the reason people are “judging” Amber is because she herself put out there that she is of the LDS faith and married in the temple. Those that know what these means also know she is clearly not following the covenants made there. I think they feel as though it is somewhat hypocritical of her to not discuss it because it is so sacred yet it’s clearly not sacred enough for her to abide by those guidelines.

As for how she spends her money I agree that is totally up to her and if she chooses shoes over 3 meals a day of authentic cuisine then I say to each his own.

      1. You have no idea what my personal choices are nor should my personal choices affect the daily thoughts of anyone else, but feel free to assume as you wish if that is how you chose to spend your time. And I find it quite astonishing that so many of my readers feel upset by me trying to save money on food. I ate authentic French/Italian meals every meal every day for six weeks last summer and will have 42 authentic European meals this summer, I would say that is pretty good. Have a great weekend.

    2. Andrea thank you so much for those kind words 🙂 it means so much to have supportive readers like you!! Thanks for taking the time to write me 🙂 xo

  12. Hi Amber,

I am respectfully wondering: how do you justify $1200 shoes and then admit to eating ramen for weeks with your husband? Surely, $1200 could have covered your meals in Europe. I know you said this is your first big purchase but I must disagree with you based on outfits/accessories you have posted in the past. There have been multiple items that were not marked c/o (which I must assume mean you have purchased them) that were around the thousand dollar mark. I do think it’s okay to admit fashion is your priority, I’m just curious and wanted to start the discussion. As a lover of fashion and traveling as well, I’d much rather experience the culture of the countries I am visiting through their cuisine than spend that much on a very trendy item that is unlikely to stay in style for much longer.

    Thanks for your input,

    1. Hi Eliza! Well first, I never said we were ONLY eating ramen. I said we brought food to subsidize but we are still eating out here and enjoying European food. We eat one meal and a dessert out each day.. the rest we eat things that we brought or things like meats and cheeses from the market. I see nothing wrong with wanting to save money on food on a six week long vacation. We are here for 42 days so that means eating out once a day will give us 42 amazing European meals. And I don’t know if you have done the math, but say we spent 6 euros which is cheap for a meal and did that for both of us three times a day.. that comes to a grand total of $2,043 (and that is assuming we always found cheap food).. we figure if we can cut that in half that leaves us with $1,000 we can either save to go on another vacation later or use for renting kayaks or splurging on a helicopter ride. Sure we can afford to eat out for every meal every day.. but A. that is not the healthiest option and B. why not save the money?

As for the Valentino’s, I understand your curiosity but unfortunately I do not feel I need to justify my spendings to anyone! Hope you understand! Thanks! xo

  13. That is a personal topic and one that I do not wish to discuss on this public forum. Thank you for understanding.

  14. This issue you are confused about it totally a personal and spiritual decision and is totally between the individual and themselves! Thank you for understanding!! xo

  15. You are right it is my decision and thank you for understanding that. I am sorry that you think because I occasionally don’t dress living to ‘modest’ standards that I am not a positive role model. I try to be positive and real on this blog and feel that I can be a positive role model even though my skirt doesn’t go passed my knees.

  16. I feel like I need to make a YouTube video entitled, “Leave Amber Alone.” She is fabulous – and as long as she is happy and comfortable, that is all that truly and ultimately matters.

    1. I totally agree with you Rosie, that the most important thing is that Amber is happy & comfortable. Plus she looks fabulous! I think the main reason people make comments is because reading blogs is a totally selfish habit–which is what makes it fun! It’s always so cool to see someone beautiful & amazing like Miss Amber getting opportunities & wearing fab clothes. That said, since she has made her religion & life public, it’s difficult for those who began reading because they felt like they could identify with her since they share values & modesty to keep from wondering, & ultimately, make comments about it. Kind of just the nature of the internet.

Just want to be crystal clear though–I am all about doing whatever is best for you! If you don’t like the blog or are somehow offended, there are millions of other websites where you can spend your time. Sorry for this novel…as someone who sees both sides of this I guess I just wanted my ‘voice’ heard too. Hope everyone is having a fabulous day & getting their fashion groove on!

    2. Thank you for these sweet comments girls and understanding that those things people are saying are total personal decisions! Love you both! xo

  17. Amazing heels. I LOVE Valentino rock studs. I’ve got the pink ones 🙂 also love your outfit. Great skirt.
    Adela x

    1. Aw thank you Kristen!! I was kind of obsessed and am telling myself they were made for me haha 🙂

  18. It truly makes me sick looking at your outfits and knowing that you are not wearing your garments. Is fashion really more important than the covenants you made in the temple? You should be ashamed of yourself.

    1. Sounds like you are LDS so I am assuming you know garments are sacred and that this is a personal decision that absolutely should not be discussed on such a public forum! Maybe this blog is not for you. Thanks for understanding.

      1. amber I don’t know you but I am sincerely sorry that some people are treating you unkindly. I, too, am mormon and don’t normally comment but I have to say I would never judge another person for their decisions, whether or not they are the same as mine. keep your head up!

        1. You are such a sweetheart thanks so much girl! I am now used to it and it doesn’t affect me I have learned that I will never be able to please everyone especially on this public forum! You are so sweet to take the time to write me it means so much! Xo

          1. Hey, Amber. I’m Mormon, and I have been looking at the previous comments about the church. I don’t know why those haters gotta hate on you. It’s personal to YOU. Why should they care? You are you, and that’s all that matters. By the way, your family is super cute:) I just wanted to put a smile on your face.

    2. I’m sorry, I know this is an old comment but I just recently discovered Amber’s blog and found this post, and I just needed to get this out because of how angry this comment made me.

That being said: It truly makes me sick to see judgmental people like this representing the very loving Mormon faith. Is your personal opinion and your beliefs within the church really more important than the basic doctrine of being Christ-like and showing love to everyone? (Quoting you just to show really how callous your initial comment was)

I applaud you for your steadfast belief in the sacred covenants made in the temple, but as another LDS woman like yourself, did you need to express your ideas in such an unkind manner? If I were you, I’d be ashamed of writing such hurtful things. I’m sure you are normally a lovely woman and a wonderful member of the church, but I watched people very close to me lose their faith because of judgmental things like this. Only Heavenly Father can judge us, and we’re all sons and daughters of God, so why be hurtful? I hope you have been able to grow more loving and tolerant, and maybe spread a more positive view of members of the church to those who aren’t LDS. Again, I know this is old, but I just wanted to express my ideas on something like this that I’ve seen reoccurring.

      Have a blessed day/life! 🙂

  19. Holy Mackerel! Those are some pricey shoes. I’m sure you had a hard time handing over your card when they rang you up. You are one lucky lady to be buying $1,200 shoes and going on a European vacation! Beautiful life!

    1. They are quite pricey and my first really big purchase.. I do plan to sell them later on but yes it was still hard to fork over the $1,200!

  20. It’s never too late to buy something, Amber. I think the leopard is perfect and I am adoring your whole look!

  21. So stunning. I saw a picture posted on your Instagram and I fell in love with those heels. The shape of the skirt is phenomenal. You ladies look amazing!

  22. I agree with you, this is the best version I’ve seen of these shoes and love how you styled them.
