The day before Halloween we took Atticus and Chauncey to a little party some friends were having at the park and they were dressed up as batman and robin. I kept getting such a kick out them walking side by side down the street together haha! It was soooo cute. Then on actual Halloween they were matching lions. I was lame and didn’t dress up! I bought a wig and everything and had plans to but I had gone to a spin class that morning and kept getting contractions after (I really thought the baby was going to come! We packed the hospital bag and everything) so I never did dress up. But ohhhhh my Halloween in the city is MAGICAL!!! Brownstones are amazing as is…. then add pumpkins and decked out Halloween decor and it is unreal. So glad we got to experience our first city Halloween! He loved running around the streets and seeing all the other kids… and of course eating suckers. He didn’t care for any other candy except suckers and ended up with one stuck to his leg and one in his lion mane by the end of the night. Lots of fun memories.
The night before Halloween my sister sent me a pic of her at the Sonic drive thru and she was rubbing it in that I wouldn’t get to have 50 cent corn dogs on Halloween (she is so rude 😉 ) me and David go every year and I LOVVVVE their corn dogs so so so much. So much that I even forgive them for always forgetting ketchup (ketchup should ALWAYS come with fries and/or a corn dog and/or tots……. always no excuse! Right? we shouldnt have to ask for this) and for having the longest waits ever in their drive thru. Those dang corn dogs are worth it! So anyways I was joking to David that we would get a rental car and go but then with all the contractions and everything I was thinking, okay whatever, next year I will double up. But then on our way home from trick or treating david told me we had a sitter at the house waiting and he had a rental car so we could go to Jersey and get those corn dogs! I was so happy. I know it seems ridiculous.. pay for a babysitter, get a rental car, drive to jersey… but it was so fun and so worth it. And yes I have 10 frozen corn dogs in my freezer because I am so not above reheating.
We filmed a bunch of our weekend since I am trying to be better at doing home videos and we decided to share bits and pieces of them in a vlog… so if you care to watch it is above! 🙂
Hope you all had a good Halloween!!!!
