Taking photos is and always has been one of my favorite things! Even when IΒ was young I always had disposable and polaroid cameras and taped all my printsΒ to my walls. This is a picture of my makeup collection as a 12-year-old (mostly glitters and lip glosses) and I always had my pictures hung on all my furniture like this!!! That is how this blog started in the first place. I needed a place to put my photos so my family could see them while I was traveling alone. Now with digital cameras and iPhones we had hard drives FILLED with endless photos. It is overwhelming how many we have and I am sure all of you feel the same with your phones and have a bajillion pics! I havenβt been as good at printing them since we have moved so often and nothing ever really felt permanent. Aura sent us one of their smart frames to try and we loved it. Aura is a smart picture frame and app that will let you see photos from yourΒ camera roll – sending the best pictures from your phone to your frame. The other part that we LOVE is that you can gift the frame and send your own photos to that frame. Davidβs parentβs live in Patagonia, Argentina. They have been there for a year and will be there for another year so we got them a frame and we are having the family (Davidβs siblings) all contribute photos to their frame using the Family Share feature.
How Aura Works:
Β· Download the free app and let Aura sort through your photos; recognizing the friends + family who you take photos of most often. It also weeds out any that canβt be cropped to fit the frameβs orientation, are too dark/bright, or are blurry! Β· Plug Aura in and connect it to Wi-Fi
Β· Select the people you would like to see photos of in your home
We have loved ours and Atticus always loves to sit and watch the photos change π Sometimes I like to email photos to myself from our big camera and save those to my camera roll so those can be included as well!
If you want one as well, use the code, BAREFOOT20, at checkout for 20% off. The code is valid until 10/28/16 at 11:59pm est!
Have a good day!!!!! Thanks for reading!

This is perfect! I was looking for a picture frame to display all my favorite photos of my hubby and my little baby! Love this!

This is so awesome. I am looking at different options to display pictures. Since we take so many, I feel like so many get lost in the cracks, which makes me sad! Also, this is a great gift for grandparents. Thanks for sharing this!

That’s amazing that David’s parents are in Patagonia! Work or leisure? We’re in Brazil for the next four years and I’m dying to visit Argentina before we leave.
That pic of you as a 12 year old is amazing! You are such a cutie. With your code, I think I must get one for my in-laws for Christmas as well. Thank you!! Also, love your casual chic outfit in this. Where are the kids rompers that they were in today on your snapchat? The deer ones? So cute! Just love you, Amber.
Love your pics so much, Atticus and Rosie and the cutest things in the world! I aspire to be just like you π p.s. LOVE your lipstick color!
Oh my goodness, Amber!! Your family is precious and your photographs highlight that SO well. I always enjoy seeing your posts on here and on Instagram. What do you use to edit your photos?

they are so adorable β€
I love this, you all look so happy! Your boots are amazing!! Where are they from?
Too adorable and always so heartwarming! Capturing moments in form of photos is so important, they’re the only “proof” of times and moments which we’ll never see/ live through again.

That frame looks awesome! This is kind of unrelated, but what are your tips for applying makeup when having your picture taken? Do you apply more than you normally would? If so, what do you apply more of (blush, eyeliner, lipstick, etc)? I’m having family pictures taken soon and I always end up looking like I have on zero makeup in pictures. Thanks!
You always have the best pics.

You’re so carefree and happy and your family is gorgeous! Such an inspiration π
So fun! Yes, it can totally be overwhelming with the number of photos! I create a photobook every year and print it out π That way everything is all nicely kept together!
Wow that frame looks so cool! What a great idea

Wait, this is amazing! I am totally the same way – I am all about photos! But because I don’t have a permanent place right now it is so difficult to constantly print out + place new photos. Love love this! I am def going to try it. Have a great weekend! xx
