Just when we think Spring has sprung it goes and gets ridiculously cold on us! At least here in Utah. Today was my day off and David and I had plans for us and our pup to have a picnic and go on a hike but it was soo windy and cold that definitely didn’t happen! We ended up having a pretty lazy day after we got back from the gym which I was actually very happy about 🙂

Hope everyone is having a good week!! xx

  1. Amber! You are seriously gorgeouess! I’m lds also and love to see lds women to look up to ( I’m 14). I was wondering if you could share your makeup/skincare routine. Your skin is so beautiful!!
    Xoxo,
    Kaya

  2. I just found your blog and love it!!! I had to comment after reading that one chicks comment questioning you about your underwear, really??!!?? Def overstepped boundaries in many ways! She was so ridiculous that it actually made me laugh! When I found your blog, one of the first things I noticed was that you dress so modestly and are actually covered more than most other women with fashion blogs! I am not Mormon but want to dress modestly and look for ideas and feel like you have so many great stylish options and ways to put together an outfit without showing off too much skin- a much classier look anyway, in my opinion 🙂 I really appreciate what you’re doing!! You are so gorgeous inside and out and really look like you have a lot of depth to you by sticking to your morals and putting it out there on a blog for the world to see and not caving into the pressure of the majority of people who think you have to show off everything to be beautiful. Keep on doin’ what you’re doin’! I noticed right off that you seem very different and sweet from a lot of other women in this world and its very refreshing!!

    1. Jana thank you so much!! I really did think her comment was a bit much! Thank you so much for everything you just said! How sweet are you? That really meant so much and thanks for taking the time to write it! So lucky to have awesome readers/friends like you!! xo

  3. Amber your blog is my favorite, I love all of your outfits, and I’m always scoping it out for modeling poses haha. To see that someone would be so mean and put you down is sooo incredibly uncalled for and makes me so sad. Someone said some really hurtful things on my blog not too long ago and I completely feel for you.

You are always the biggest sweetheart on here, and respond to everyone’s comments which no other blogger does haha. I want you to know that I love your blog, and it brightens my day when I read it. Have a great night!

    xo

    1. Lauren!! Thank you!! I am glad you can relate.. it is kinda a sucky feeling at first! I think I have developed pretty thick skin but church/personal things kinda cut deep.. If you have a blog too I am sure you can relate! Every blogger I am friends with deals with the same thing and its so unfortunate! Thank you so much for this comment, you are such a sweetheart and totally brighten my day! xo

  4. And Ashley, I will say a prayer for you and your personal peace of mind. Maybe you were going through something when you posted that or maybe you’re still learning in the ways of your faith and how to reconcile what you feel is right versus other people’s stances, but either way, I am choosing to believe that you are a good person trying to deliver a concerned message that got confused in the process. Be kinder with your views and your words in the future. They will be better received. I hope you are well.

Let’s all “Be excellent to each other.”

    1. PS this just shows what a mature and accepting person you are – I know I don’t know you but I wish there were more people out there like you!! Sending my love. xo

  5. Arg. I am not LDS myself, but one of my closest friends is, and through her experience at BYU I grew increasingly frustrated with the few individuals who tried to make their own standards the Church’s.

If you feel that skirts should be knee length then you should wear knee length skirts, but that does not mean that everyone else has to break out a ruler before they dress. Just because it is a few inches above the knee does not make it indecent.

What I do consider indecent is attacking someone’s education, appearance and SPOUSE because you disagree with whether or not they are complying with a dress code. Maybe someday someone can explain to me why God would be so occupied with skirt length that He’s fine with calling someone names and ridiculing them, but for now I will say that some of those words did not come from a place of goodness.

Amber, I don’t always agree with you, but I don’t come here for political or spiritual discussion, I follow a fashion blog and you are very stylish and prompt with updates in addition to seeming like a sweet girl. Mini-skirts to maxi skirts you are being a better representation of your faith than someone who hurls insults at something they don’t approve of. Blog on.

    1. Honestly I am speechless because this is so perfect. Just want to say thank you for defending me and I love what you said “..why God would be so occupied with skirt length that He’s fine with calling someone names..” Just everything was so well said. I am glad we can disagree on some things and still respect each other and see the good.Thank you so much again, I probably couldn’t say thanks enough it really means a lot to me 🙂 xo

  6. Wow, I didn’t expect so many of the comments on this post to be so heated. I never understand why some people feel that they are qualified to make judgments on others’ lives.

I wanted to ask if you are wearing extensions in this post, and if so, how do you do a high pony with them. I always have issues making sure they are hidden.

    1. Yeah people are insane!! Yeah I am wearing extensions in the post! I just part my hair from ear to ear and then stack them all in that one spot! Its hard to explain so let me know if that made no sense!! xo

  7. Hey Amber- I love your blog. I love your style. You are a beautiful girl. I am LDS, I wear leggings all the time with shorter dresses and I wear garments…..Of course, BYU has a very strict dress code. I have never been told that I am not allowed to wear leggings to cover my garments. Seriously that chick is ridiculous. From what I understand you are not allowed to even wear flip flops on BYU campus. The Ashley chick must be jealous because you’re hott and have a hott husband. Whateverrrrr. Haters are going to hate. PLUS, it is none of her business. I can’t believe she would call you out like that in a comment on your blog. At least personally email you if she seriously has a problem, my goodness. People have no class sometimes! P.S. I live in Vegassss. I saw that you just went there. So cool. However, I kind of wish I lived in Utah, its so pretty there. Anyways keep up the great posts!

    1. Megan thank you so much for that comment!! And that flip flops thing is a good point! BYU’s dress codes are different than the church’s dress code standards. And its going to vary depending on who you talk to, but I am fine with leggings and don’t really care who isnt!! People are going to judge no matter what. But no way you live in Vegas?! You so should have met up with my friends and I! Next time 🙂 thanks again for your sweet comment girlie! xo

  8. BTW Sweet sweet Ashley… Amber’s blog is doing a whole lot more to promote the church than your Salem like garment witch hunt.

  9. Sweet sweet “Ashley”. You seem like the most closed minded, troubled, and judgmental girl. Get off your high horse. I sincerely hope you just have a jealousy problem, and that that’s the reason why you wrote what you did, but if not, you should be extremely embarrassed of the person that YOU are. If you knew anything about garments, you would know that they are sacred and personal. If you are so judgmental about them, maybe you shouldn’t be mentioning them on a blog.

  10. Love the 1st and 3rd pics. The mountains in the back are so pretty, and of course you are too! Lovely profile. 🙂

  11. and Amber, you’re so adorable and so cute, don’t listen to people like her. I love your blog! you’re such an inspiration:)

  12. Hey I just wanted to say that i noticed in earlier posts that you got married in the temple. Wearing a dress that short is definitely inappropriate. You are representing a lot of people on this blog. You are even representing Brother and Sister Clark, who are so kind to let you live in their home. I think they would be utterly ashamed of their daughter-in-law posting things like this. You’re not fooling anyone by dressing like this…I’m embarrassed for you.

    1. ashley, sorry but NOT ONLY are you embarrassing yourself, but quite frankly you are embarrassing me and all other mormons out there. how can you be so judgmental? i’m really embarrassed. it really is a disgusting. it’s sad to see people, especially mormons, say these kinds of things. then again, because of things like this is exactly why the lord said when speaking of the church, “which i the lord, am well pleased, speaking unto the church collectively and not individually.” please go home and reflect on your actions. and to all other non members out there reading this, i promise, we are not all this judgmental. we strive to live the words of christ to, “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” Sometimes we all fall short. allow me to apologize on behalf of ashley.

      1. Krista my husband and I just read that together and you are AWESOME. Seriously we both were like, “what a cool girl.” You said everything perfectly. Thank you so much I am so glad there are people like you in this world! Thanks for taking the time to write all of that and I agree with everything you said – anyone who disagrees just shouldn’t be on this blog, you are not welcome, period. Oh and Ashley don’t try to act like you know anything about my in-laws, you just overstepped one too many boundaries.

        1. I am kind of confused about what Ashley said, I am a member of the church and I see nothing wrong with this…you could easily be wearing your garments under those tights…they are thick like leggings (it is none of her business anyway)! I agree with Krista, this is embarrassing…I am also a convert of only 3 years and people like Ashley are what scared me to even investigate the church! Luckily I met people like Krista who look at everyone with love….keep doing what you’re doing Amber, you’re a doll!!!

          1. Thank you Nikki!! And I am confused also as my tights/leggings are not see through in the slightest and I am 100% wearing my garments! And congrats for you on getting baptized that is so awesome!! Glad we have more good, humble members like yourself! You seem so sweet thank you so much for your comment! I just love you girls!!! xx

          2. You know what? Its none of your business. You really need to never come back to this blog, I would really appreciate that. You are no longer welcome.
