Last week we went upstate to a farm to pick some organic berries and kale! We have been to farms for apple picking but never for berry picking, so it was a first for all of us and so so fun! Atticus loved collecting all of his berries in his box and Rosie had fun eating all of them. Seriously, she ate SO many berries! We were all covered in smashed berries and berry juice by the end. I am still not sure if my dress will recover fully haha. When we left the house it was early in the morning so we had pulled the kids straight from bed, took off pajamas and changed diapers, and straight into the car. We ate breakfast on the way because we wanted to get there before it was too crowded/too hot. When we pulled the babies out of the car they looked so cute in just their little diapers we decided to not put pants on that day 🙂 diaper babies are my favorite! Well, lil bare bum babies is even cuter, but babies running around in diapers screams summer to me. When we were in Utah at the cabin all the littles were waddling around in just diapers and it was the best. We have put our babies in Seventh Generation diapers since Atticus was a few months old. I love the natural their plain diapers but also the subtle designs of their animal print diapers! I also love that they don’t have any fragrances and are made for baby’s sensitive skin. They also last all night long which is good since our babies know how to chug milk.

When we left the farm we were all sweating and very tired!! Something about this humid heat just takes it all out of you. The whole way to the car Atticus was telling everyone “buh bye! hab a dood day!” then we plopped in the car and the babies were sleeping almost instantly.

Later that week we made a fresh raspberry cream pie with crumble on top with all of our berries we brought home! Atticus is very into helping with everything lately – from dishes to laundry to baking – whatever it is – he loves to help! Its so fun to see how quickly he picks up on things and loves when we cheer for him after he does it on his own. We love so much seeing him be so proud of himself.

*Thanks to Seventh Generation for sponsoring this post.

  1. I love the color of A’s boots! I have been looking all over for a similar pair for my son, but unfortunately I can’t seem to find them anywhere.

  2. I am obsessed with Hunters I have a black and red pair and I love seeing Rosie, Atticus and you all wearing them!!

  3. Looks like such a fun day! I lovee berry picking! Which spot upstate did you go to??

    xoLauren

  4. Does someone know where Ambers Top in the first pictures is from?

  5. Amber what are your color of boots? I can’t tell f you got the black or dark grey. Super cute!!

  6. Your family is precious and sweet! You seem to be an amazing mother, wife, and friend. I love love love reading your blog and seeing your pics! Also love your thoughts on positivity lately and agree!!

  7. I don’t usually leave comments (I follow you on Instagram and always read your blog). But any way! I have got to say, without sounding too corny, I have been torn on whether to start a family or not. I have been married about 3 years, but we have been together 12 years. We have lived in several different places, traveled all over and even adopted a dog… But I’m finally at the point in my life and marriage where I think I’m ready for kids. Sadly, I always doubt myself when it comes to being a Mother. After seeing you with your kids you have given me the confidence and motivation to be a Mom. This sounds so corny. But it’s official, we are trying. So thank you for being such an incredible role model for all of the Moms and Moms To Be out there! It really means a lot <3

  8. Love these pictures – both the berry picking and the pie making!! You have so much fun with your babies 🙂 Any chance you will share the pie recipe? Thank you!!! xoxo

  9. Amber I love the way you are with your kids. They look so happy! And they are the cutest ❤❤
You are such an inspiration to me!
    Love

  10. Love this post! Looks look you had so much fun with your babies ?Once my baby girl has gone to bed I love chilling out and reading through your blogs. You have a beautiful family xo

  11. Enjoy the helper phase, because when they’re teenagers, you’re going to have PAY THEM to do it! hahaha

  12. Your blog is wonderful.Atticus and Rosie are SO cute.????????

  13. Precious, Precious, precious!!!!!! absolutely love these!!

  14. That looks like so much fun!!! I always love to see what you will be wearing and how you’ll do your hair!
Will you do a tutorial on how to do the two buns you wore rock climbing?!?!

Can’t wait to see what you’re up to next!

    XOXO

  15. The comments on this post are killing me! Seriously having your kids wear just diapers while berry picking is genius just for avoiding smushed berries all over their clothes! And now since you have sponsors from hunters and seventh gen or have in the past…. What you can no longer all wear hunters at the same time? Ha! Heaven forbid you actually just really love a company and take pictures while wearing their product without getting paid for it! Oh my word I’m sorry that you shared such a cute post and totally got questioned about stuff like that. Bah.

  16. This is so sweet!! I love seeing Atticus go about his little day on Snapchat! It’s so nice that you’re raising him to help right from the start. I plan on doing that with my (future) kiddos one day too! My husband (who grew up a bit wealthier than I) always talks about how he got frustrated when his family’s cleaning lady moved his toys and action figures and I’m like, “Honey….no.” lol.

I mean I certainly hope to have a once-a-week cleaning lady in a year or two when we’re a bit more established, but you better believe I’m going to teach my kiddos to load the dishwasher and do chores– just like you and David are doing with Atticus! And of course cooking and baking but I love to cook SO much anyway!! (gonna go pin that salad recipe one post back– it sounds to die for!)

I hope you and your beautiful family have a great weekend! I love that dress by the way. It’s somehow chic, elegant, modern, and sporty all at the same time!!

  17. I love these pictures! Berry picking is this best. You are all so beautiful and sweet! <3
I have a question about your lashes- they are so full and lush!! 🙂 Do you have extensions or is that simply a mascara?
Seriously, I just love your family. I would love to meet you one day! 😉
    oxox,
    <3 Charity

    1. I have eyelash extensions!!! I love them because then I never have to put mascara on! Such a time saver. Xoxo

  18. I’m glad you guys had fun. I giggled at the diaper baby / bare bum comment lmao. I feel you on the exhaustion that comes from being in the heat and the humidity. I work out in that at my independent gym and it’s crazy. I have to paper towel off every second lmao.

  19. I do not believe that you left their pants off because “they were so cute in just the diapers”. You left the pants off because this is a sponsored post about diapers and if they were wearing pants then we wouldn’t be able to see the sponsored product.

    1. I love that you wrote this… I don’t care if it is sponsored material (although amber, all your stuff seems to be sponsored lately) but why craft a whole back story? Sooooo disingenuous :/

      1. So a lot of times when we do sponsored posts (like this) we have a very large window. In this case, this post was supposed to go live a month from now but since we had taken these shots and the kids were in diapers anyways, we asked the brand if we could post early and use them for the sponsored slot. A lot of times that is how it works out. We know months in advance and since we only work with brands we organically use in our daily lives a lot of times the photos just happen naturally like they did in this case!

        1. You are a class act Amber. It’s kind understanding responses like the one you just gave that will make me a follower of your blog for life!!

    2. So what? Why do you care so much? This blog is her job. Just like you go to work every day she works with brands. There’s nothing wrong with it, especially since she doesn’t ever work with brands she doesn’t truly believe in. It would be disingenuous of her to take every brand opportunity that comes her way, but she doesn’t. So don’t sit behind your computer and judge with your “I do not believe you” because she is actually making an honest living for her family. And besides, saying they look damn cute in their diapers is true, because they do! And it sounds better for her blog than saying ‘well we went pantsless because we’re working with the diaper brand’. She disclosed the information anyway so to me it’s not a problem at all. If you have a problem with her making her sponsored posts fun then don’t read her blog.

      1. I have to agree with you! If they’d followed her blog and Instagram for a while they’d see they are always running around in those cute diapers and are often not sponsored posts. And it’s like the 3rd or 4th time she’s said she loves the plain seventh gem ones. Hard to make up then remember to repeat several times over the last two years…

And heck if I got paid to use the products I already liked using then I’d rave about them too!!! Kids are expensive!!!

  20. That is just too cute! And everyone in their own hunters. Im dying!! Rosie is such a beautiful little girl, she looks so healthy and well taken care of. Good job!
So glad Atticus started speaking a lil more, soon those diapers are going to go! 🙂
    Xx

  21. Yum!! That pie looks delicious! We went cherry picking every year as kids, but have never gone berry picking!

  22. Hi Amber,

Where did you get the two shirts that you are wearing? Love them both!

    1. yeah, i was wondering the same thing!! they are both so adorable!! where did you get them?? (especially the first one ????)

      1. The first dress is from Zara! The second top is Karen Kane from Macy’s!!!! Xoxoxo

  23. Oh these are so sweet! I love all the hunter boots too. So precious with just their little diapers on haha

  24. Hi Amber, hope you’re doing well! Berry picking is so much fun! In PA, we have stuff like this too and after constantly being out in the hot sun and humid weather it can be sooo exhausting but it is worth it in the end 🙂 and that raspberry pie looks soo yummy! I cannot believe how big your little ones are getting! They are soo adorable as always. I know you have been wearing the bare minerals matte colors and I was just wondering what shade is your fav? I have been wanting to try them but am soo undecided on what shade to get. I just want something that looks natural and not so bold. Hope you have a great day girly xox

    1. I know they are getting sooo big huh!!!! Okay so for Bare Minerals I honestly love all of them but I think the one I use most and always have in my purse is ‘Infamous’ it’s a really natural color that goes with anything!

  25. Why are your kids nearly naked? If it was so hot out, then why are you wearing hunter boots?

    1. This! She didn’t leave their pants off because they were cute in just the diapers. She left them off because it’s a sponsored post about diapers.

      1. Hey guys! Going to copy and paste what I said to someone above because it applies here too! Hopefully that helps. Also for the Hunters, those were the only shoes we brought unfortunately. we had Atticus barefoot for a minute there but there were a lot of sharp branches and twigs so we put them back on.

  26. Love these pictures! Could David do a Lightroom tutorial on his youtube channel? I love the way you guys edit!

  27. I love that you take your kiddos on so many adventures. You and David are wonderful parents!

  29. Berry picking looks like so much fun and it looks like Atticus and Rosie loved it! I went cherry picking a few weeks ago and it was great, having that truly farm fresh produce is amazing. Have a lovely weekend!

  30. This is so wonderful. Thanks to your recommendation, I have switched my baby to seventh generation diapers and now could never use anything different! They are absolutely the best for blow-outs with a great fit, and I love how they are environmentally friendly too. You have excellent taste girl ???? speaking of, where is your dress from? Please visit Canada soon and keep posting your recipes.

    1. Oh I’m so glad you love them too!!!! They are my favorite! The only downside is when I run out and need them quick and they aren’t at our local store! Bummer. But I love them so much! Also my dress is from Zara!

  31. This is all so precious. What a wonderful way to start the day together Xx my nephew adores playing in nappies – diapers – and welly boots!

    Warmly from Montclair, NJ

  34. Hi Amber, your hair looks so amazing!
What brand do you recommend for haircare?

Im thinking about maybe buying from Davines, Kevin Murphy or Kerastase? 🙂

    1. I haven’t heard of Davines!!! However I LOVE Kevin Murphy and Kerastase!!! I also love Bumble and Bumble, Unite, Oribe, Ouai, Drybar, so many good hair brands! I love to mix it up!

  35. I’m such a sucker for hunter boots and berries. 😉

    Love this!

    1. Did Hunter sponsor this post too? It doesn’t say anywhere that it was sponsored by them, but figured since you were all wearing Hunter boots that it must be. Don’t you have to disclose this information?

      1. Hunters did not sponsor this! Just love being matchy matchy is all!! Xox
