DRESS: Athena Procopiou c/o / CARDIGAN: J. Crew

This is a look I wore the other night for a dinner with my sweets! At dinner I had my first veggie sushi roll wrapped in rice paper and I couldn’t get over how good it was! I am heading to the store today to get some rice paper and I am going to try to make them at home because I can’t stop thinking about them.

I got a few dresses gifted from Athena Procopiou and absolutely love every single piece. They are all so feminine and beautiful. I really love how the straps tie at the top of this dress. And J. Crew always has the best cardigans right? I love all my cardis by them and add sequins and its just even better.

Hope you all have a great day! Thanks for stopping by.

PS This post here came up in the suggested reads and Atticus and I went down a rabbit hole looking at old posts and I had so much fun showing him old pictures of us 🙂 blog posts really help me recall memories so perfectly and that is what I love about this space.

  1. Loved your post, but it made me realize that I haven’t had sushi in over four years (insert deep sobbing here) haha. But on a lighter note, your outfit has inspired me! If I can’t live by the beach, I can at least dress like I do, am I right?! Happy Friday!

  2. Such a gorgeous and feminine look! Maxi dresses are my favorite, I believe they are the main piece of clothing in my closet! Haha! I only wish I was living someplace with warm weather all the time, like you are right now! That cardi is such a perfect add-on too! <3

  3. I love J Crew cardigans too, actually, I love everything J Crew. I am so jealous of all your beachy photos. I wish I was somewhere hot but, I am stuck in 2ft of snow. Also I have always tried to do this hairstyle but it never works for me, it looks so beautiful on you.

  4. I’m from Brasil and I’m a huge fan of your work, your family and style!! I wish you positive energys!! Xoxo

  5. Do you have a tutorial for the milkmaid braids? I just went down a rabbit hole myself looking through your hair tutorials looking for one. You have a lot of good ones! Milkmaid braids can be tricky to get them to lay just right and I like the way yours look here. Also- I’d love to see a tutorial on your wavy hair in the instagram pic of you holding the bananas recently. Beautiful!

  6. Lovely Amber, especially love the cardi…. checked on line and that color was sold out …. also checked for the ruffled rust coloured one piece swim suit you posted yesterday… it was sold out too…. so sorry to have missed these esp. the cardi….. I know you have so much to do with the kiddies, the extension business, and organizing the blog, taking photos, selecting things to show, dealing w vendors…. must be overwhelming at times…but still wish it was possible for you to post pic of your lovely choices before they sell out … be better for your bottom line too I should think… Always enjoy your posts esp. the beautiful photos and fashions and your uplifting take on life.

    1. Gosh I know I can’t believe this cardi sold out so quickly!! I try to shoot things as quick as I can but yeah sometimes with the kids life just gets so busy. Definitely one of my goals to be quicker about shooting so they aren’t sold out! I will keep my eye on this cardigan and let you guys know if it comes back in stock! Will announce on my twitter if it does 🙂 thanks beauty!

      1. I don’t know if this will help, but I actually found the suit on the zimmerman website (& it’s not sold out). If you want something, you’ve got to look around a bit! 😉

        1. Oh my gosh I am so glad you said this! I was staring at the screen for so long I didn’t even see it somehow! Replacing the link 😉 thanks for digging for us

    2. Ellen! A reader found the swimsuit on the website – I somehow missed it! If you are still interested, here is the link to the swimsuit from yesterday’s post!

  7. Amber, you look like a Grecian goddess in this post! I love the long floaty dress, so bohemian and dreamy! I wish I could ask you for advice on how to braid hair, it is so stylish and I would love to see my hair styled that way. Hope you are enjoying your life in Hawaii! Can’t wait to read any update on the construction of your house. Much love from London, Julie x

  8. Aww i remember that post! A’s muddy pants made me smile both then and now! Dirty clothes are the best sign of a fun day!!… And it makes your pics realistic to other mommas! 😊

  9. Aw, that is so fun to go through old posts with Atticus! I bet he will only love looking back through them more and more as he gets older! This is such a fun space to share with all of us but I’m so glad you get to enjoy it too❤️ Plus that dress is stunning!

  10. Loving that yellow cardigan as well! I’ve been scoping it out online, but wasn’t sure, and it looks different in your pictures than it does in the (heavily manicured) ones on the product site! Much appreciated!

  11. What a fun dress! I wish they still had it in a smaller size. And it is so cute that you can Atticus go through old posts together. Someday he is going to LOVE looking back at all of these memories the four of you have made together.

    Thanks for sharing!

  12. Love this look! The shots are amazing, loving on the island vibes!

  14. That dress is divine! I love how you put your hair up in milkmaid braids for the evening too. It’s unexpected for a night out on the beach but probably refreshing after having it down in the sun, sand, and surf all day. I hope you and your family are having a wonderful vacation!
