I could seriously write a novel about how amazing this portion of our trip was!!! I was super excited to stay here when I booked it but when we got there it was 10x better in person so we ended up paying for another night! Which by the way, I booked ours on Expedia or Priceline (cant remember which one) and it was cheaper than their actual website. But anyways we stayed at Ashford Castle in Cong County three days and two nights. We used the hotel babysitters and went horse back riding which was so fun, we walked around and explored the castle, laid in the grass and played for hours, ate endless croissants (they make them fresh and are THEE best I have ever had!!) and we had a picnic! A lot of you asked if we brought that picnic basket, no we didnt! The hotel had picnics for like $25 a person and they go set it up for you but if you go you definitely should do it because it was really tasty and fun.. minus I did get balsamic vinegar all over my pants.. but I was totally asking for that one by wearing all white to a picnic with a toddler. And back to hotel babysitters.. we didn’t know that hotels offered babysitters until about 10 months ago and since then we always ask and most hotel that offer activities will also have babysitters. Sometimes they are freaking expensive like $100/hr which we would never do because that is absurd but this one happened to be $15/hr which I think is totally reasonable and worth it. Sometimes escaping the kids for a couple hours on a vacation makes it really feel like a vacation.
Anyways – we uploaded our q&a to youtube so if you want to watch it the link is here. We did it spur of the moment and didn’t have long so its kind of chaotic ha but watch as little or as much as you want ha! xo
