Excited about today’s blog post because you guys know how much I love HAIR and today I am sharing a 7 day hair diary with John Frieda. When I get bored during A’s naps I like to just sit and style my hair – for me it kind of helps me unwind and I guess you could say it is a “hobby”. I recently started using John Frieda’s Luxurious 7-Day Volume In-Shower Treatment.  Since my hair is so thin, it’s hard to give it volume and have it stick throughout the week but this has given me the best results for sure. This usually gives me about a full week of volume, or around 3 washes. So here are my 7 looks from my first week of using their new volume line!”

If you’re wanting to try out some of these voluminous looks, you can shop the 7-Day Volume In-Shower Treatment here.

DAY ONE: For the first day I wore my hair half up and found a ribbon, I felt like a little girl!Barefoot Blonde

DAY TWO: I lovvve a good poofy, voluminous ponytail so for the second day while my volume was fresh I decided to do a messy voluminous pony!Barefoot BlondeBarefoot Blonde

DAY THREE: I absolutely love messy, beachy curls. Probably my favorite way to wear my hair (besides braids) so I went I used this tutorial of mine and curls my locks.Barefoot BlondeBarefoot Blonde

DAY FOUR: This was the hairstyle I did for my sisters wedding day! I wanted my hair up and out of my face since it’s so hot in Arizona. I washed my hair the night before and still had volume from my treatment on day 1 so I teased it and then braided the back in a dutch braid.Barefoot Blonde

DAY FIVE: For day four I still had tons of volume so i went for a subtle Bridgitte Bardot look with my hair half up and brushed out the leftover curls from the previous day.Barefoot BlondeBarefoot Blonde

DAY SIX: For day six we were in Boston exploring so I had my hair in a easy side braid and swooped my bangs to the side! They still have some leftover curl and volume from previous days.Barefoot BlondeBarefoot Blonde

DAY SEVEN: For the last day we went to splash pads and parks so I really needed my hair up! I threw it in a braid going into a messy bun and called it good! 🙂Barefoot BlondeBarefoot Blonde*Thanks to John Frieda for sponsoring this post.

  1. Hi amber !! You are so adoraable ! I’m a new subscriber and I’ve been loving your blog ! I was wondering what hair extentions you use ?

  2. Amber! You are so great.

I have VERY thin hair and I am happy to hear you do as well… It is usually really hard for me to try other bloggers hair tutorials because no one else seems to have thin hair like me. It is a huge relief that I can make my hair look as fab as yours. I can’t wait to get home (with my new John Frieda hair products) to try these out!!!!

  3. Hi Amber!

I absolutely love your blog and your Instagram. You and your family are so cute and I love all your traveling adventures! I noticed you use messy buns for some of your hair styles and I can never get mine to look right and still be messy. I was just wondering how you do your messy buns or if you have any tips for the “perfect” messy bun? I have long hair like yours and it’s not super thick or thin either.

    Thanks for being awesome,
    Molly xoxo

  8. Hi Amber!!

Just curious what make up you wore for your day one photo? It is applied amazingly and I’ve been looking around for good foundation, bronzer, + lipstick. Thanks so much for sharing!! You always have the best style: hair, clothes, and make-up!

    1. Hi Cait!! Thanks so much!! My favorite foundation is the Estee Lauder double wear foundation in Fresco, and for lipsticks I love MAC and NARS 🙂 The specific color I usually wear is called Coral bliss or Snob. For bronzer, I love Physician Formula. I will link my lipstick guide below as well. Sorry I am just seeing this by the way!! xo
