5 Ways To Keep Your Kids Cool Without a Pool In Partnership with Popsicle

As many of you know we are in the process of building our home and we are currently renting a friend’s home for the time being. We don’t have a pool this summer and no pools in the summer in Arizona can be brutal. It is already 110+ degrees here in the afternoon and it really is too hot to go outside for a long time without water involved. Luckily my mom has a pool but she is also about 20 min away so I always like to have quick solutions on hand. So, I thought I would share some of the ways me and the kids are staying cool this summer.

1. Popsicle Pops

New Popsicle Fruit Pops! You guys know we lovvvve Popsicle pops over here. These new Popsicle Fruit Pops are made with REAL fruit and just 5 simple ingredients and they are DELICIOUS and taste so fresh! They have 4 flavors right now: Strawberry, Mango, Raspberry, and Orange. I definitely recommend trying them all because they are all really, really, tasty and my kids love them!!

2. Inflatables

Inflatables! We bought this giant inflatable that has 3 water slides for the kids, a little basketball hoop, with some water guns attached to it. It is pretty freaking awesome and blows up in like 3 min! The bottom part makes a pool and the kids play in it for HOURS. They also have other smaller and not so pricey options, although, I would say to make sure you read reviews first. 🙂

3. Water Balloons & Water Guns

Lots of water balloons and water guns. We have lots of water guns and little foam squirt toys and we have been having lots of water wars over here! I am sure you have tried these water balloons by now .. the ones that fill up about 20 at a time and you don’t even have to tie them. The best thing ever!

4. Hose Attachments: This a quick one that you can just have on your hose all summer and turn on and off quickly. Playing with the hose was like a staple of my childhood so I love seeing my kids play with the hose! Although we do have to be careful here in Arizona because it gets so hot and the water in the hose can burn ya!

5. Splash pads: I actually thought since we are in the desert there would be more splash pads here! Maybe there are and they are just more spread out than they were in NYC .. because in New York it felt like they were every few blocks. But anyhow I love keeping swimsuits in the car for the kids so after the grocery store we can pop on over to a splash pad if we want.
