Rainy Day in San Francisco

A few photos from a rainy day in SF! Luckily it stopped raining for a bit and we got to go explore a little. We went to this pier to show the kids the Golden Gate Bridge and Atticus dropped his little car off the side of the pier ah he was so sad! My second cousin lives here in SF (and has quite possibly the most beautiful home in the city – not kidding – its incredible!) and she was so nice to watch the kids while we went to a meeting! She gave him the car and he won’t stop asking how we will get it back. Some guy did try getting it out with his fishing pole though! But no luck. I hope the weather is a little better tomorrow because I did not bring rain attire! I was planning for spring weather ha – the weather app totally said it was going to be high 60’s/low 70’s!!! liarrrs!

  1. Monsoon month in San Francisco during March but even during the rainy days sun comes out revealing beautiful rainbows. Good luck on finding those and make sure to capture them in photos!

  2. San Fran is the best! We secretly like it when the weather app lies because that means SHOPPING!! Lol! You have the cutest little fam!! Hope you had a great time!

  3. Love, love these pictures Amber as always! Rosie in those rainboots are seriously the cutest!!!

  4. If you have time, you should check out the Exploratorium museum. It’s all hands on. The kids will love it! Also nice clap back lol.

  5. I feel like that happens to me all the time (packing for the expected weather but then it’s totally different!). You travel a lot—I’d love to hear your tips on how to deal! 🙂 I always end up wasting money and buying a cheap, ugly coat or something wherever I am. 👎🏼

  6. I love the moody vibe the rainy weather gave these photos! And the fishtail braid looks great on you!

  7. Hi Amber! I are flying into San Francisco tonight!! I was wondering if you had any recommendations for dinner/dessert on the wharf. Also, where did you take those pictures? They are soooo cute!!

  9. Absolutely love these photos love! Do you think you would ever be able to share how edit your photos and if you use presets either share them or sell them?! The way you and David edit your photos are gorgeous!

  10. Ha the animator in me is thinking of all the adventures his little car will have trying to find his way back to Atticus 😝

This also brought to mind these pieces of art my grandparents had hanging in their condo in Florida of all these lost human items resting at the bottom of the ocean, like sunglasses and toys. So cute.

The rain makes for lovely pictures, and there was a big beautiful rainbow yesterday afternoon as I was driving home.

  11. Love the puddle jumping photo! I wish David would do a photo taking tips tutorial for beginners 🙂

  12. Thats the worst! SF is so unpredictable! But you look adorable! Be sure to check out @cyneats on Instagram, she has amazing ideas for yummy bites around the city! Have fun xo

  13. I was in SF yesterday too!! Where are the pics taken on the hill above the city?! Love that view!

  14. Gorgeous! And March is often a great time in SF! I should know, I lived there for 7 years! And anyway, anytime is a great time to visit the magical city! Good luck with the toy car though. That sounds like the bigger issue 🙂

  15. Oh my gosh I can’t get over how stinking cute Rosie’s outfit is!! From her adorable buns to her overalls it’s all so adorable.

  16. You should visit downtown Mill Valley. It’s the cutest! and Old Mill park is near downtown, in the middle of huge redwood trees.

  17. You planned for Spring weather in SF in March? Uh, no. Good luck to you . . . in life.

    1. I don’t think I need your good luck, I am already doing pretty darn great in life! xo

    1. Isn’t it?! I am borrowing it from Fashionphile and was like hmmm.. would my sis in law notice if they never got this back?! 😉 jk but def want to keep this beauty! Thanks Allie!

  18. Ah I’m obsessed with this post! But so sad Atticus lost his little car. My daughter will be four this year, and man when you have a new/favorite toy it’s the pits to leave it behind or lose it. So I feel for him. But your outfit is something I NEED in my closet haha

    1. The weather here is crazy!!!! It was like straight up in the 70s and spring time here a couple weeks ago. And now we have all the rain that I want to go away (but we need). You are totally fine! That is a mistake I make all the time here, and I have lives here for 35 years!!! xoxo
ps i was secretly hoping to run into you guys yesterday around the city.
