LAUNDRY! Okay minus the exclamation point because I HATE laundry so much haha ahhh! Part of me thinks that once we get into our home and have an actual laundry room with space to fold and make piles etc. I will enjoy it more… but we will see ๐Ÿ˜‰ Our problem is we are good at doing laundry and folding it but putting it away? nah guys, sometimes it sits there for 3 whole days before we put it away. And seriously its because all of our dressers are filled to the brim so I think we both dread having to find space. Please tell me we arenโ€™t the only people who are like that?!!?!?
The kids love when we get to fold sheets though because they love playing under them as we throw them out and fold them ๐Ÿ™‚ and it brings back happy memories of me and my siblings doing the same thing as little kiddos! I remember even loving it at like age 10 haha so I am glad we have a lot longer of this.
We have used Seventh Generation for cleaning and laundry needs for a long time and love that they are a safe brand and I donโ€™t need to worry about harsh chemicals. I have been becoming more and more aware of this as the days go on. I love that our kids will have so many good products like this to use when they are older too.
And thanks to Rosie for being my cute laundry buddy and making it fun ๐Ÿ™‚

Right nowย Seventh Generation is also offering Barefoot Blonde followers freeย shipping and handling on their freeย Diapers & Wipes Trial Packs for the first 1,000 kits, or while supplies last! Use promo code BAREFOOT16 at checkout:) ย Limit 3 kits per user. (Good through 12/21/16)

  1. Would love to see a post/video of how you launder your fancy, lace, sequin, delicate, etc. clothes since you have such a unique wardrobe… and must be an expert. I have so many beautiful things I’ve only worn once because I’m scared to wash it and wreck it. ? P.S. I love Rosie’s bangs!

  2. Amber I love your precious family and I also love the adorable videos you’ve shared! I’m looking into a nice camera for video at a reasonable price! Any suggestions? Thanks!

  3. I’m the same way with laundryyyyy! I can wash/dry/fold like a champ but it will sit in baskets for a week if my husband or I don’t just buck up and put it away! The struggle! Lol Of course Rosie is the cutest!

    1. haha seriously!! The dryer is like an extra area of storage of course ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Only 3 days??? Craziness! Ours sits out for a week at least! Haha. โ˜บ๏ธ

  5. Seventh Generation laundry detergent is seriously my favorite. We use the Lavender and eucalyptus sent, we’ve tried so many different detergents but we always go back to that one. Unfortunately we’re going through the same struggle over here, I absolutely love washing, folding even, but have no space so clothes tend to sit around for a bit.

    1. I am so happy you are a fan too! We love their products!! And yes the lavender scent is dreamy! And I am glad I am not alone in that struggle ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. She does make it a lot better but laundry day is a day I always dread hah ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for reading!! xo

  6. I hate laundry day too, even when having a laundry room :/ I hate folding clothes but I absolutely love the smell of clean clothes lol

    1. Yes!! I love the smell of fresh sheets and towels especially! Now if only someone could come magically fold my clothes ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Hey Amber! I’m totally only writing this from the perspective of someone wanting to share some info, not at all from judgement. I love your blog and following along with your sweet fam! You mentioned in the post about being more cautious about the dangerous chemicals in products, and I thought as I was reading, her makeup! her hair products! they’re SO dangerous! I recently started reading labels a bit more strictly and doing some research and I’ve since changed basically all of my cosmetics and hair products. There have been times where you’ve shared about a product, and I’ve checked it out at EWG.org (which is a third party testing site that tests for toxicity in products) and I’m always bummed that I can’t use them because they’re rated so dangerous over there. Just something to keep in mind! xoxo

    1. Hey Emily!! Thanks so much for the information, I will do a little more research on this. Thank you for following along! I appreciate it. xo

  8. Rosie is so cute its unreal!! I’m right there with ya on the harsh chemicals and being a lot more wary the older I get. My mom was always so all-natural and “green” and I used to think she was such a hippie but now I totally am too ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Aww thank you so much!! You are too sweet! And I know huh?! I always thought it seemed extreme but I am so on board as a mom now ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Aww these photos are too cute! I love when Rosie’s hair is in those cute pig tails! I weirdly enjoy doing laundry, but I’m the same way about putting it away haha :/ I have too many clothes and not enough space!

  13. I hate putting away the laundry too ugh! I just got a breast reduction surgery and my mother-in-law came and did all my laundry and folded it in little piles. Well… it’s a week later and the piles are still on the ground lol.

Rosie’s bangs are so cute btw!

    1. yessss. I has that surgery years back and it’s a killer for recovery! all the best ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. It is seriously the worst!! And ah darn! That would be so hard after surgery ๐Ÿ™ hope the recovery goes quick! xo

  14. I absolutely hate doing laundry too! Especially when I was living at college and had to share a laundry room with 20+ girls who would take your laundry out the washers without asking hahhaa!

    1. Oh yess! I remember those days ๐Ÿ™‚ Roommates were the worst about that haha! Thanks for reading babe!

  15. Just got mine! thank you so much Amber! I absolutely hate Laundry too because it just never ends!!!

  16. Hahah oh that while laundry dilemma ??
You’ve been raving about the seventh generation products for so long, I gotta try them out!

    1. Seriously the biggest dilemma for us haha! And yes you do!! I love their products ๐Ÿ™‚ too good!

  17. Love these pictures of Rosie! And really wishing I were living in the states, as my first little one is due to arrive in 2-4 weeks and I could use some free diapers (not to mention the closeness of friends and family)!! Haha. And I am totally with you when it comes to laundry… maybe someday I will also have a nice laundry room that I want to spend time in… we can all dream ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks so much Kaylee!! So glad you liked the post. And yeah definitely, stock up for sure! I am excited for you ๐Ÿ™‚ xo

    1. Same!! There is literally zero space and I wonder how I ever fit everything?! Time to clean out the closets haha ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Omg I am the same. Doing it and folding it is fine but putting it away is the WORST. I HATE IT. you’re good for getting yours put away in three days. Mine sit there for a week or longer …. eeeeep. Should be doing it now tbh.

    1. Haha right?? Let’s all take a break and fold our endless laundry ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for ready Abby!!

  19. My best advice as you are building your new home, locate the laundry room on the floor with the bedrooms and baths. I don’t think it matters the size as I have a fairly good size laundry room and I still loathe lugging it up and down steps (which can be a challenge too if you are ever at a point in your life, even temporarily, where lifting or stairs is restricted). In fact, over the years the extra space in our laundry room has simply become filled with rarely worn or outgrown clothes. Keep the kids involved w/laundry though. My biggest laundry helper these days is my 6 year old daughter. She sorts and matches socks better than me! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you so much!! These tips really are so helpful, I will keep them in mind ๐Ÿ™‚ And that is so true about the size of it, the last thing I want is random things to end up in there haha! Thanks again!! xo

  20. Ahaha, Amber, I am so like you. I love washing. I actually love having my washing basket empty, putting it to dry and folding it as it smells so nice and clean but putting away in cupboards is such a pain. We are like you in a smallish flat (only 2 bedrooms and…3 young children..life in London;) so I have no utility room where my laundry can be hidden away so I put everything in a crate and wait, and wait..until it’s bursting and then I know I need to actually put it away in everyone’s cupboards but definitely not my favourite task at all!! Happy to know I am not the only one;)!!!! Big hugs from London, Julie

    http://www.jafinthebox.wordpress.com

    1. If only it was as easy as just putting the clothes in the washer and dryer and then doing nothing after haha! Thanks for the comment, and yes, I am happy I am not alone in this! The struggle is real ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have a great rest of your week Julie!! xo

  21. You are soooo not the only one! It’s a miracle if my family’s laundry gets put away too ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. I do too!! I swear the dryer serves as another storage place for us haha ๐Ÿ™‚ And aww thanks!! You’re so nice!

  22. Laundry is hard when the washer and dryer are right in the middle of everything I agree! I do think a big laundry room will help make the chore less daunting!

    1. Maybe these comments will motivate us all to be better about putting laundry away haha! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for reading!! xo

  24. SO stinkin’ cute! Your little Ro is just as gorgeous as mama. You are not the only one who hates putting laundry away – me too for sure! Mine has been sitting out for more than 3 days for sure. Folded of course ๐Ÿ˜‰
