While we were in Paris we stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris and it was amazing. The whole hotel is filled with thousands and thousands of gorgeous fresh flowers in the prettiest displays – it feels like a dream walking through it. I also just love the service you get when you are at any Four Seasons.. Everyone is always sooo nice! I was scouring Paris for a crepe joint that also had strawberries. Don’t get me wrong, I love the classic sugar and lemon or banana and nutella crepe in Paris.. but I am more of a mixed berries + homemade cream sauce + whipped cream + a scoop of ice cream + extra whipped cream kinda gal. That is what I always get here in NYC (looking at you Golden Crepe, my fav) and I was craving it so bad but noooo one had it! Luckily the Four Seasons had my back lol and even brought an entire bowl filled with whipped cream, they take the “extra whipped cream” note seriously.
We took a little trip to Versailles and roamed the gardens at the palace and ate at a restaurant there which ended up being less than average (dont you hate when that happens?) Atticus just walked around, threw rocks, played in mud, popped bubbles (that I luckily remembered to bring), for hours on end. He is really into throwing rocks especially into water so he was having a ball.
I got this Rachel Pally dress for some maternity pics in the hotel that we took and then I planned to change when we went out but the dress is SO COMFY and it looked cute with a sweater over top so I left it! It now has mud and dirt on it, but anytime I wear white I am just asking for it haha 🙂
Its been good to be home and we have been doing LOTS of park trips in this amazing weather! We love to wake up early and go to the playgrounds right when they open so we are the only ones (we like being selfish and going down the slides over and over and over again – and early bird playground trips mean that the tire swings are open, yay) and then we take Chauncey and Atticus on a lonnng walk around the city and grab juice at Juice Generation on the way. Then we do the same thing in the evening but we go to our favorite field (it has that PERFECT soft green grass and its kind of an area everyone has silently agreed to not let the dogs go “potty” on) and Atticus finds sticks to give Chauncey and then he chases him around and they tackle eachother. Mornings and evenings with this family of mine are what I live for.
