I’m teaming up with Clinique to share their “Broadway Bound” beauty theme. I’ve always loved their skin care products but I decided to try out some new makeup items on a date night to Broadway with David. I’ve been to a few Broadway shows since I’ve been living here when my mom and sisters were in town, but David and I haven’t actually seen a show together! I saw Lion King when I was 10 and thought it was so lame that my mom was taking me to a play, but I ended up LOVING it and fell in love with musicals! But David still hadn’t seen it. So this seemed like the perfect time to try out my new products. I used:

Take the Day Off Makeup Remover (To start)

Chubby Stick Shadow Tint

Quickliner for Eyes

High Lengths Mascara

Cheek Pop Blush

Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Color Balm (Great way to add moisture to your lipstick while still looking matte.)

PS Clinique is holding an event this Friday at Bloomingdales 59th Street (1-3PM) if you’reinterested in going, it should be fun! I wish I was in town to make it.

THIS TIME LAST YEAR

  1. Hi Amber,
Beautiful post! I love the orange lipstick and nails! your makeup is always so gorgeous, definitely one of my favorite bloggers! I was wondering if you would ever do a step by step post on how you get your makeup so flawless? This blogger Catptivatedcat did a 10 step makeup post ( http://catptivatedcat.blogspot.ca/2016/04/10-step-makeup.html ) and I would love if you did something similar 🙂

    1. Hi love!! Thank you so much! I am glad you liked the post 🙂 And thanks for the post suggestion, I will definitely keep that in mind. xo

  2. Hi Amber,
I’m a huge admirer of your style and I’m going to make the splurge on a pair of the Rockstud Valentino heels but I wanted your advice on sizing. I heard they run small, I’m usually a 8.5/9 and was wondering if I should get the size 39 or 40. I’m ordering them online because they don’t sell them in my area. I figure since you’re tall, you probably have a similar size.
    Any advice?
Thanks so much and God bless!

    1. Hi Ashley!! Thanks so much for the comment!! And yes, they run small, so I would go up a 1/2 size 🙂 I hope this helps!! xo

  3. Love this clinique orange product and yes pretty impressed with your collection
    Keep sharing such awesome posts.
These are so mind refreshing and awesome 🙂

    1. I don’t remember the color!! 🙁 They are gel nails I got done while in AZ, I think it is Essie!! xo

  4. I love love loved The Lion King on broadway, I saw it with my family in high school and expected it to be sort of dorky but was so amazed! You look stunning!

    1. hi!! I am not sure what the color is 🙁 I am sorry! I got them done at the salon!

    1. Awesome!! I am glad to hear that!! It is such a treat to go and see one 🙂 And thanks!! xo

  5. love your nail polish! What kind is it and what color? It’s so so beautiful!

    1. Thanks so much Emma!! I wish I knew the color.. but I don’t 🙁 I believe it was Essie brand! xo

  6. I love how you pull of orange so well! It’s honestly admirable! What stippling brush is that with the clear handle? I’ve been looking for a good one and I didn’t realize how different they really can be! Hope you’re having a good summer!

  7. I felt the same way when my mom took me to my first musical! I was almost mortified telling my friends I got tickets to see a musical for my birthday but after going I fell in LOVE with them! Almost every year throughout my teens my mom took my sister and I to see a musical for our birthdays. The Lion King is still my all time fav! But Dirty Dancing, Mama Mia, and Hairspray were pretty fantastic too! You look lovely as always!

  8. oh how fun!!! I bet it was so amazing! I used to use some clinique products but I kind of try new things all the time and stick with the products I LOVE! They had a gold shadow that I loveedddd but I think they discontinued it haha darn! I think a while ago you mentioned you were going to write a post on your camera stuff 🙂 I might have missed it but just wondering if you did write that post! I searched for it but couldn’t find it. Am I crazy? haha

    1. Thanks Courtney!! And ahh I love Wicked also!! So so good!! See Lion King next! xo

    1. I agree!! It was so well done, we loved it!! And yes! Let me know if you try anything out 🙂 xo

  9. Ok I just freaked out when I saw this! That chubby stick Poppin Poppy is my absolute favorite!! I used to work for Clinique so I am pretty obsessed with everything here 😉 I recently wore that lip color to a wedding and all my friends wanted to try it on because (and did you know?) it looks different on everyone. It’s supposed to work with your natural lip color. Interesting huh! I love to see you promoting Clinique because it’s such a great makeup line for a “normal girl.” I am pretty plain jane when it comes to all that, and other brands can really scare me away, but Clinique always makes it seem easy. Like nothing is easier than using a chubby stick on your eye lids! I could go on and on…but I will stop now 😉 But great post. And Duh, LOVE the Lion King!

    1. Thanks Quinn! I am now a huge fan!! Love love them!! Glad you agree 🙂

  10. I love how the orange looks on you! We have similar skin types so cerebrally, I know that orange tones look good on me, but I always chicken out when it comes time to try them on or buy them. Dumb! I need to head to Sephora and try some on, stat!

  11. I love the Lion King! There’s something about going to a broadway show in NYC – nothing like it! You look so pretty (as always) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE your heels.

  12. Yes, you live in a crazy city. I loved it for my little getaway but can´t imagine to really live there- but I know you don´t live right on Time square right? 😉 But to see all these Broadway plays would be a blast. Down here the quality of the actors sucks lmao. Those are the ones who did not get a job at Broadway. 😉 Driving subway…oh no! LOL. I guess I am not a city girl. Kisses darling, Sissi

  13. I love Clinique’s skin care products! I will have to try their makeup 🙂 I have always wanted to see the Lion King on Broadway. I’m so glad you guys had fun 🙂

  14. I’ve had my eye on those chubby sticks lip colors for a while now! I love this shade you are wearing here 🙂 And I saw Lion King on broadway when my boyfriend and I visited NYC last summer, it was spectacular!
