Getting to be in Norway on their Norwegian Constitution Day was soo fun and so amazing! It was honestly thee coolest thing seeing everyone in their bunads and braids – I was so jealous I wanted to be wearing one! They are so pretty and everyone looked AMAZING! Is Norway just ridiculously attractive or what? I mean seriously almost every person I saw was gorgeous. It was also so fun getting to eat from all of the food stands and getting to meet some of my Norwegian followers on the streets! (Me and Martha in the photo above! Loved meeting you girl!) It really was just the coolest day, I wish in the US we had some sort of unified tradition like that and all got dressed up!

*Making an edit after getting emails/comments about the above^^ what I meant by I wish we had a unified tradition is I wish we had a national, traditional costume that dated back centuries ago similar to what they have in Norway. It is really cool to me. I do however know and appreciate the Fourth of July and love all of the holidays and celebrations in America. I very much appreciate the melting pot that makes up America.

Today is our last full day in Norway and we are headed to a fjord and are renting a boat to fish and have a picnic! Super excited. xo

  1. Hey Amber! Just wondering what the nail polish is (color & brand) in these pics? Soooo cute! (I tried commenting before, but I don’t think it worked.. so if there’s two of the same comment from me – sorry! lol)

  2. Hi! I live in Bergen, im happy you have a great time. Your braid is so beautiful, can you make a tutorial on how to make it? 🙂

    1. We loved it!!! Such a beautiful place to live!! Thanks for the tutorial suggestion 🙂 xo

  3. Wow! Amazing pictures! That’s why I love to travel and see how others share their adventures))
Hope you can come with your family to Finland. For sure it’s worth visiting capital but would be more exciting to come in winter and visit North Pole, Rovaniemi town where Santa Claus lives, Santa Park (kind of our Disney land) and definetely observe Northern lights! Welcome to Finland!

    1. Thank you so much!! And we love to travel in general, and luckily I can take my work where ever we go 🙂 It works for us!! Thanks for asking!! xo

  6. I get what you mean! Norway really unites for their national holiday, I have a really good Norwegian friend here in Paris and she was soo bummed out that she couldn’t be with her family and friends from back home, while I’m totally fine with not being home for the 4th of July. So I get you girl!

  7. I’m going on a two week trip to Europe in a few weeks and I would love to hear your packing tips from going to Norway!

    1. How fun!! Have a blast!! I wish I could I have mastered packing, but it is always hard!! Bring comfy clothes!! If it isn’t something you wear at home, you won’t want to wear it on vacation either 🙂 Shoes are everything if you’re planning on walking a lot as well! This trip I brought Nikes, and then some sandals. Less is more!! Bring layering items, and things you can re-wear! We make sure all our places have a washer!! I hope this helps!! xo

    1. Thanks so much!! It has been such a great trip, we are loving it!! 🙂

  8. Aah Norway looks so nice!
I’m actually getting really excited for these travel posts (and have secretly read ALL of your posts under ‘Travel’ these last few days) because I’m planning my first trip to Europe (it’s a big thing for me, I’m from Argentina haha) and I’m so so so excited. NEED to be prepared. It’s my bf and I five year anniversary in Febreuary and I want to take him to Spain, Italy and France.
Do you have any great places or recommendations around the area? Thanks Amber, lovely as always xo

  9. The socks on baby A’s little hands, too cute. Then your mittens on his little feet! You guys are wonderful! And creative 🙂 (of course you have to be with your luggage fiasco).

Enjoy your adventure with your family!

    1. Thank you so much!! I am so glad you like it 🙂 And oh my gosh! A mint floppy hat?! How perfect!! Thanks for reading!

  10. So cool that you have girls following you all the way in Norway! You are totally making me want to visit Norway, it looks like such an amazing adventure. Your rain jacket is adorable by the way!

  11. This looks so fun and so cool! I’ve loved looking at your pictures especially because another blogger I follow is currently there vacationing too so it’s like a double hit of Norway! And that Ergo baby carrier looks SO nice! I’m thinking about buying a new one since Nate is starting to weigh me down a bit in my mamakangaroo wrap; maybe I’ll check out this one! 🙂 Happy vacationing!

  12. Is this you??? This popped up on my fb and and I noticed the girl in the article looked familiar…i wouldn’t even bother reading the dismal article…completely offense to married women, as if we have no say in our own future and want nothing more than some masochistic husband to control our lives.. i have to say the woman in the article sounds horrible and if i were a man would stay far away! haha..but just thought it looked really like you in the pic!!

  13. Norway looks so cool! I want to go there someday…are you from norwegian descent or did you just go there for holiday?

  14. You do realize that the US’s unified holiday is the 4th of July (Independence Day) right?

    1. Yes, I realize that. I made an edit above where I explained my comment more 🙂 Thanks!

    1. Haha, I ordered it myself immediately too! The color is so lovely!

      1. I love this jacket! Is this color sold out? I can’t find it 🙁 I only see the yellow and green one

        1. It’s the green one! The color probably looks soooooo much different in RL. I have seen this jacket some weeks ago too, and there was no other color, so I’m positive it must be this one 🙂

          1. Has anyone ordered it? Does it exceed your expectations? I’m a Large in The North Face jacket and wondering what size to order.. can anyone that ordered it weigh in on how it fit? and is it Mint like in these photos, or more green on the ASOS website?

          2. I have ordered it and just got it today 🙂 my snapchat name is dreamsandtreasures, add me and I’ll send you aI have ordered it and just got it today 🙂 my snapchat name is dreamsandtreasures, add me and I’ll send you a pic, Amy! pic, Amy!

          3. I ordered it too and I’m a little scared of the colour! I love the colour in the blog here but it looks super green in the asos picture. What did it turn out to be like?

  15. I’m loving all your photos! Norway looks amazing, so beautiful! I bet David is loving the fresh fish:) Love and miss you xo

    1. It was so beautiful!! I would definitely add it to your list on must-see places!! 🙂

  16. I love your blog and your outfit is darling! I love the color of your coat.

I just thought I would let you know that, “thee”, is not the proper spelling for that word. “The” can be pronounced “thuh” or “thee” and it’s spelled just like the normal “the”. I would have wanted someone to tell me :).

Hope you’re having loads of fun in Norway!!!

    1. I’m pretty sure she knows how to spell the word “the”. Hahaha she’s just making it more exaggerated, like if she had done “THE coolest thing” instead.

    1. It was a dream!! We loved it!! Thanks for following along!! xo

    1. It is beautiful isn’t it?! We loved it!! Such an awesome place!! Thanks for your comment! xo

  17. I was about to say..”share some food pics!” but then I remembered I am on a diet, so DONT SHARE THE FOOD PICS! 😉 can do whatever you want, its your blog 😉 Have so much fun!
