PORE STRIPSBioré // SHIRT: Oak // PANTS: lululemon // Atticus – SHIRT: Gap // PANTS: PAIGELAUREN

When it’s freezing outside (which is usually every day except today because we are now in Jamaica:) it’s so easy to just want to stay in bed with my heated blanket cranked up to high! Which is why I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite things on a cold day!

1.  Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips – If you love regular Bioré Strips like I do then you will love their new Charcoal Strips! If you’re sitting inside on a cold day, you might as well spend some time on your beauty routine! These strips, using natural charcoal, attract dirt and oil like a magnet, unclogging your pores and leaving your skin clean and 3x less oily – in just 10 minutes. In other exciting news, Bioré has teamed up with Brittany Snow to create the #StripWithBiore Challenge. To be a part of the challenge, take a photo wearing the original Pore Strips or the new Charcoal Strips and post it on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtags #StripwithBiore #Sweeps. Tag 3 of your friends and you’ll then be entered to win a trip to LA to walk the red carpet with Brittany Snow! (Full details here).

2. Playing in the bed with Atticus and Chauncey! I could literally do this all day long, there’s no better way to stay warm!

3. Hot Cocoa and Netflix – When we were in Morocco, we stayed in the coolest hotel, and every morning they served Mesemmen (A really yummy Moroccan crepe) and hot cocoa for breakfast and I fell in love with both! David asked them how they made it and it was just a heaping tablespoon of baking cocoa in steamed milk with 2 sugar cubes and it is SO good. He makes it for me all the time! Oh, and Netflix…. Need I say more?

4. Making Lists – I LOVE notebooks and if David let me I would buy every notebook I see! David makes fun of me all the time because he claims that I fill up the first few pages of a new note book and then just let it collect dust, meanwhile buying more and more notebooks 🙂 But I’m kind of old fashioned and prefer to make my to-do lists with pen and paper rather than on my phone or computer

5. Deep Condition – Eventually Atticus falls asleep, and I like to use this time to deep condition my hair and look for inspiration on Pinterest!

Hope you’re all having a good day! Stay warm!

*Thanks to Bioré for sponsoring this post.

  1. OMG I have not heard about these new Biore strips but man oh man am I excited to try it. Staying in and warm and cuddly on cold days is one of my favorite past times so reading what you like to do was interesting and gave me a few ideas that I can implement into my own lazy day routines.
Also I am a huge list person as well, lists are what keep me sane. I have at least 3 running notebooks with lists of things to do and will continuously start a new one when I feel like I need to. No real reason just because I felt that I needed to.
Love your blog, thanks for creating such creating and visual content!

  2. I have just recently found your blog, although I am pretty sure I have seen your hair and makeup tutorials on Pinterest before! You are absolutely gorgeous and I love your blog!!! While I was looking through your blog I noticed that you have some photos that are taken in different angles and views. I am wondering what you do to get the perfect photo and how you take the picture that you are in (like do you use a camera stand or does someone else take the photos for you!?!?) Thanks Katherine G

  3. Oooo….my nose needs some help so I may need to try those new Biore strips! Thanks for the recommendation.
Baby snuggles sound awesome right about now. It is a cold, rainy, blustery day here. 🙁

  4. PLEASE make a tutorial for this hair! I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do crown/milkmaid braids that stay secure throughout the day and don’t make the back of my head look crazy weird!

  5. Super in love with your hair in this post!! Looking forward to a tutorial on this braided style. ^-^

  6. I’m loving any product with charcoal these days… I use an activated charcoal mask every week, and it feels SO good to get all of the gunk out of my pores. I’ll have to try the strips! Also, I’m addicted to my evening routine of hot chocolate and Netflix. How you described it is exactly how I make it, plus I add a splash of vanilla extract. It makes it even better!

  7. Hey Amber! Just curious, where is your mug from? Anthropologie?? It’s so cute!

  8. Do you have a hair tutorial anywhere for this hairstyle? I have super thick hair, a few inches past my shoulders, and I can’t seem to knack this style!!! You also have thick hair though so I’d like to see how you do it.

    Thanks!

no one else recognize such certain about my problem. You’re incredible!
    Thank you!

  11. love everything about this post: hair, biore strips, hot cocoa, netflix! if you haven’t already, can you please do a tutorial on the hair!?

  12. I really love your blog but with all these sponsored posts, I feel like I’m just scrolling through ads. I understand you need to make money but please can you mix some “real” post in more often? I feel like it’s gotten gimmicky.

Would love to see the change!

  13. I loooove your hair in this post! And all your posts for that matter haha. Have a great time in Jamaica!! 🙂

  14. Hi Amber,
I was wondering how you started your blog. I really want to start one, but have no idea where to begin. I have no idea what I’m doing. If you have a few tips, anything would be appreciated. Thank you so much!
    xoxo,
    taylor

  15. Aren’t lululemon pants amazing?! I live in mine…sad but true and totally agree with old school to do list making…it’s so much more gratifying!

  16. Aww i have a notebook fetish too! 😀 if it has a pretty cover or matching accessories then i simply must have it! Ooh and when the front pattern is accented through the pages, im a real sucker! 😉 i gave up making notes on my phone, i always end up wiping them some how! 🙁

  17. Hey Amber what color of the Estee Lauder Double wear foundation do you have?

  18. Oh my gosh I love notebooks too! Especially ones with cute designs like the ones you have. And planners! I like writing down notes and my weekly schedule in a paper planner rather than on my phone haha. Love the hair, too! Hopefully you can do a tutorial on that hairstyle ;).

  19. Your hair…. <3 <3 <3
Please oh please do a tuturial! 🙂

ps, my husband and I were stalking your instagram account last night and were dying at how cute your little boys' laugh is! Too cute!

  20. I have never tried biore before…. am I so behind on the times LOL I have to admit your description of the product has me intrigued I may just have to try it out… Have a bomb day!

    XO JNESS

  21. These are some of my favorite things to do on a cold day as well! I love Biore strips, so next time I am low, I will have to pick up those charcoal strips to try! I love your cocoa mug…I have had an obsession recently with coffee mugs! Cocoa is so good that way…I haven’t bought packets for a while! Enjoy the rest of your trip! I have been looking at your pics on Instagram, and it looks absolutely gorgeous there!

  22. I really like these Pore strips ! loved all the pictures.. Atticus and Chauncey are so adorable <3

  23. Your hair looks so cute, I love that style! What a great way to spend a cold day, we don’t get many (if any) in Southern California :(. Oh, and I’m heading to Target today to try out the Biore Strips 🙂 I love your blog and I’m so excited to read about Jamaica and see all of the great pictures!

  24. I love the original Biore strips and your post has made me really want to try the charcoal ones. Is there a particular deep conditioner that you recommend?

  25. Amber, I love this hairstyle! I have never tried Bioré strips, but I do use a charcoal activated face was from Yes to Tomatoes and it’s awesome. I really want to try these pore strips though. Writing lists is more fun in notebooks because you feel so accomplished when you cross things off the lists. You can never have enough notebooks! Atticus and Chauncey are adorable together!

  26. I love the pics of Atticus and Chauncey, so cute! I always imagine my dog and my future baby being this close! I love the Biore strips but always forget to buy them so I was overly excited when I found a free sample of the nose strip in my Allure magazine this month, they work great!
