After I mentioned that my husband and I are going to begin juicing again, I got asked what my favorite recipe is! So I am going to tell you 🙂
I am sure you guys have had Naked juices before.. they are the best! The Green Monster is my favorite and my husband and I make our own version of it with all of the main ingredients!
We juice the apples and ginger in a Jack LaLanne juicer (here) and then blend that juice in a Ninja blender (here) with the mango, banana, pineapple, kiwi, and spinach! We blend the rest as to not lose any of the fruit in the juicer, if that makes sense. (obviously not all the fruit is juice so some of it gets discarded) You could blend all of it or juice all of it, just depends how you like it and what type of blender you have! If you have a Blendtec (here)- you could easily blend all of it!
We are drinking clean juice like this for two meals a day and having a clean meal for our third. We usually have like veggies and brown rice or chicken and veggies! – Trying to get back in tip top shape, I have been slacking and I just feel gross so its been nice to eat clean! (we do have a cheat on Saturday nights though.. I have to have a little cheat day!) My husband surprised me with a punching bag a little ago and I am soo thrilled about it! I will show you all soon more about boxing soon!

I’m bookmarking that idea for when we get married 🙂 And don’t let whoever is doing those comments get you down; you are a sweet, funny, kind and adorable girl who has a fantastic blog (you’re one of the reasons I started mine), and she is obviously consumed with jealousy. Unfortunately this is how she is dealing with it to make herself feel better. I hope she stops soon, and realizes how horrible what she’s doing is. In the meantime, enjoy some blog free time with your hubby, but hurry back soon!

  3. Hey Amber! I was just wondering how long you do the juicing for two meals for? A week? Two weeks? A month? Forever!!? Lol, just trying to get an idea! Thank you so much! Thanks for all the great stuff you share with us on your blog.

    1. Hey Jamie good question!! We do it for about 2 weeks at a time and like I said we also do a meal with it because just juice all day is hard to do especially when we do intense work outs every day! We need more fuel than that! But yeah 2 weeks regularly and then here and there whenever we feel like it after that!

  4. Yum! I love juicing, blending or doing a combo. Naked juices aren’t great because they are flash pasteurized so a lot of the nutrients is lost anyway. Plus they don’t support labeling non GMO foods, for some reason…

    1. Oh I am glad you asked this!!! It made about 3 servings so 1 and 1/2 for each of us but I guess it depends on what you consider a serving! But 3 whole medium size glass fulls i would say!! 🙂

  5. Love mean green! We use the same juicer, but use kale instead of spinach and I’ve cut out lemon for taste 🙂

  7. This is actually a smart method of juicing! I’ve been juicing everything, but I always feel guilty throwing out so much of the pulp, but blending more healthy ingredients into apple/ginger juice is a great idea. That way you get the added fiber! I’ll have to try out your recipe.

    Before my sister moved across the country, I had juice with her all the time. We used whatever was fresh in the local garden, so delish!

    You recipe looks so good and I’ve been so tempted to get one… I’m really considering it!
