The other week we set up camp at a beach near Chinaman’s Hat (that island out there) and it was so fun because no one else was on the beach and it felt like our own little cove. We brought magnifying glasses and make up brushes so we could dust off dinosaur bones and inspect them 😉 And of course our pet dinosaurs. We had races into the water and found lots of sand crabs and had a picnic. The kids had so much fun! And something is extra nice about putting kids down for naps after a beach day because they are so worn out.
I said this on my insta a while ago when I posted one of these pics because it was on my mind that day – but I am really loving these days where David and I are our kids friends of choice. One day they will want to call a friend to come over and play and won’t want to hang with us but right now we are their best friends and they want us to come everywhere with them! I love that whenever Atticus sees something cool he has to get our attention to show us – has to experience everything with us! So fun. I don’t want to ever take that for granted.
