I have loved making sugar scrubs since early college years! I love to exfoliate – the feeling after when you put lotion on your silky soft skin is just – ugh! Goooood. So I recently got David hooked on using sugar scrubs in the shower too – after the first time he was like baffled how his skin could feel that soft haha π so I bought these fun flavorings on amazon and thought we would play around with them. Our first creation is this marshmallow flavored sugar scrub! It is sooo easy (only need three things) and it smells divine. Here is the recipe!
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup olive oil OR coconut oil (I used olive oil. I like mine gritty – if you want it oilier you can add more but start off small)
1/2 cap full of marshmallow flavoring (just the cap that comes on it! you can always add more of this too!)
Mix together! Easy peasy.
I like to mix mine in this wooden bowl that we also use for acai bowls and fruit bowls π
You are STUNNING!! These scrubs are such a good idea! The color in your pictures are beautiful π
Hi Amber Im living in fiji at the moment, loving the island life and having lots of extra time to try out some of your beauty treatments, i love these DIYS that anyone can try!
Seriously?! How fun is that! I hope you’re loving it there!! I went several years back for a service trip π Hope you like the scrub! xo
I remember that post! might have to have a reread of it! ive been finding it so hard to workout in this heat any tips? (no aircon only fans and ofcourse no gyms around.) we are staying on an island called nananu i ra off the north. Thinking of helping out in the schools like you did π
Do you have to add the marsh mellow part?
Nope! You could totally just do sugar and oil! You could also add any essential oils instead of the marshmallow if you wanted π
Thanks!! I just tried this and It was amazing!
I love making sugar scrubs too with young living brand essential oils! So fun, easy, smells amazing and it really does leave your skin so soft! Love your nail polish too by the way! π
Also-have you tried making linen spray or body butter with essential oils? Those are fun ones too!
Would go great with some flower petals mixed in for something a little extra! I love how simple that recipe is!

awesome! is there a particular sugar you use? how long will this last for If I don’t use it up right away? thx!
I just use plain granulated sugar so it’s super cheap and easy! And I would say it could last a couple weeks depending on how often you exfoliate π
Thanks Amber! π
Amber, do you just leave the open bowl in the shower? I’m wondering how to store it if I have any leftover. I can’t wait to try it!! You give the best tips!! xo
