SHORTS: Lululemon / TANK: Strut This / SPORTS BRA: PEΒ (my favorite sports bra ever ever – I want all of their stuff! Just discovered this brand) / SHOES: AdidasΒ (they are hiking sneakers and I love them!! and they are 30% off. I ordered 1/2 size up.)

On David’s birthday we woke up early and went to Manoa Falls to do a hike! It was much easier than we thought it would be – really easy up and down. But it was so fun and really pretty. On the way down we saw some bamboo and couldn’t help but do a little bamboo climbing contest πŸ˜‰ we love doing competitions. But I will say that I had a better angle for his photos and he conveniently didn’t go as far down for mine.. hmmm… suspicious! Just kidding he definitely won but I could have sworn I was higher than that.

After our hike we went and did a doors off helicopter ride with friends! It was the most fun we have had on a helicopter so far. Our pilot was hilarious (he is in the last photo!) and he had music that coordinated with each spot we were flying over (Jurassic Park theme song, Elvis Presley when we went over his house, etc.). He took us over Sacred Falls and Stairway to Heaven and across the whole island and it was just really fun. He would go so close to the mountain and say, “amber I am not going to hit that mountain” and then would swerve up last minute – it was like a roller coaster and it was sooooo fun!!! We sat in the front seats and I liked it up there. (PS this is NOT sponsored and we paid for 100% of our tour but I just really really loved it!) So anyways we used this company and ask for JIM!

After that we came home and got the kids and went to Pipeline to watch the waves. That night we got a Ted’s Bakery pie with candles for his bday cake. We have always done pies instead of cakes for him since my Davey loves pies. I told him 32 things I love about him and it was a good day.

Love ya David, ya old geezer πŸ˜‰

  10. Hi Amber! What a beautiful place, I’m so jealous of where you now live! πŸ™‚
Can you PLEASE tell me how you got your hair into that messy bun? It looks like you started a pony then on the last wrap around, you maybe didn’t pull it through all of the way? I ask because I’m constantly trying to get that look, without working hard for it, like just doing it while I’m out and about or at work. Thanks in advance!

  15. Hi Amber!
My name is Holly and I have been seeing some mean comments about of one your posts and then saw how you deleted it.
I’ve been reading your blog for years now even though I’m only 17. Any day you have a new post my day is made. I realize I can’t truly understand how getting hate or criticism on your posts must feel because you’re not perfect, no one is, you’re just posting about your life and what you love. While you must struggle with dealing with negativity I think you often forget how many people you inspire. No, I’m not a mom, or a true adult for that matter, but you’ve inspired and changed my life in ways you’ll never know. Seeing how you follow your dreams and never let any obstacles, or blessings (aka having children), stop you, inspires me immensely. Seeing you do what you love and following your dreams made me what to do just that. In September I moved to Spain for an exchange program and will be here for another five months and I’m when I tell you that you were one of the reasons I am being totally honest. As a young woman you inspire me to follow my passions whether it be in fashion, travel, or career wise. Reading about your travels and life and how you seized life inspired me and will continue to do so for as long as you choose to write on your blog! I truly hope you continue to be positive, love life, inspire others and be Inspired.
