And just like that, summer is gone. It was here one day and gone the next. Today has been a cold and rainy day. Just when it starts to let up, I think, “let’s go outside.” and then it starts back up again. But I do love it because the leaves are starting to change, and I’m starting to stock up on my favorite hot cocoa:)

Inside days mean finding a way to keep not just Rosie and Atticus preoccupied, but a big, non city dog too! Chauncey loves the cold, wet mud, but our apartment doesn’t. So David tries to find a few 20-30 minute windows when the rain lets up to take him on a walk. After that, it’s keeping not 2, but 3 kids (including Chauncey) from getting bored while stuck in-doors. Today we all just played around in the Rosie’s nursery with Chauncey and his new Trolls Pet Fans Collection toys which are exclusively available from Petco and inspired by the DreamWorks Animation Trolls movie.

A couple days ago Chauncey got a hold of, and destroyed the cutest little teddy bear in an alligator suit that we got earlier in the year when we went to Florida. We figured that was a sign that it was probably time to get him some new toys:) So we got him these.  Chauncey’s three favorites are: Trolls Cooper Plush Large Dog Toy, Trolls Branch Plush with Rope Dog Toy and  Trolls Guy Diamond Plush Medium Dog Toy!

Last Christmas we got him the Dr Seuss Grinch ones from Petco too and he loved them, because they look like stuffed animals, which he obviously loves, but have pretty much indestructible rope arms and legs! Definitely keeps him busy on inside days.

I’m sure we’ve all heard the expression “Happy wife, happy life.” But on a rainy day, “Happy kids and dog, happy life.” 🙂

  10. Congrats on your hair extension line, Amber! That is so so so exciting!! You should be so proud of yourself 🙂

Also, kinda random question but I’m wondering if you remember where the maternity sunflower dress you wore way back is from? If I remember correctly I think you wore it for Atticus’ baby shower. I just found one I’m pregnant and have always loved it! And can’t find it anywhere.

  11. Hey Amber,
I love your blog, and I often follow your outfits – some of them are soo gorgeous :DD. I personally love wearing jeans and no shoes, even outside, in the city.(yeah, although it may seem strange for some people :D) and I would love to see an outfit like that on your blog or snapchat! I remember that some time ago you wrote that walking barefoot in public is no problem for you, so hope it won’t be a big trouble
Greetings for all your family, and to you of course!

  12. How do you deal with all the dog hair? I have a 6 month old who is learning to crawl, and two German shepherds. The hair all over is driving me crazy! What’s your solution?

  13. Doggies are definitely just big kids too! You must be so busy trying to keep all three occupied – especially on a rainy day 🙂 I know summer is over, it’s so sad! Hot cocoa ALMOST makes up for it 😉

  14. Amber, these are the sweetest photos! I’m not really much into social media and only follow a handful of blogs but yours is my favorite! I don’t remember how I found you, but my first impressions were 1) you LOVE your husband and family 2) you’re young by today’s standards to be married and having kids but you are owning it and are so proud of your family. I think that’s great and an inspiration to our generation and 3) you have such class and good values and good morals that you live by and that really sets you apart! And 4) you have a golden and they are my favorite dogs (I used to breed them)!

  15. So sweet! Love the pictures and your dog seems like she’s such a gem with your kiddos. I bet you’re going to miss perks of NYC. but eager to move to AZ. I’m sure NYC has been quite the experience! God bless!! 🙂

  16. It looks like you had a lot of fun! 🙂 I have a Siberian Husky and she tends to go through toys quickly, so I’m definitely going to check out your toy recommendation! If you need to keep your dog busy, putting peanut butter in a Kong toy always keeps my dog busy for a long time 🙂

  17. Saying goodbye to summer is the worse when you live in the Northeast. Time to start searching Pinterest for the endless ideas for toddlers that will keep them busy.

I’m sure when you are in Arizona you will be missing the cold rainy days from time to time. At least the kids look happy and content to stay inside.

    Definitley agree…..happy kids, happy wife!
