The drive to Amalfi was a lot longer than I thought so we made a couple stops along the way. First we stopped in Rome and saw the Sistine Chapel – which by the way, I ordered tickets a couple weeks beforehand and that is thee way to do it, beat the two hour line! Then we saw Trevi Fountain and ate some pasta then jumped back on the road. We saw some playgrounds along the way so we stopped and Atticus played for a while and then we were finalllly there! and holy cow the hotel we stayed at was insane! We stayed at Conventi di AmalfiΒ and arrived at night so we didn’t really get to see just how pretty it was until we woke up! I booked it last minute because we had just one night to fill that I forgot about. This hotel is an old monastery and the grounds are so so beautiful I wish we got to stay there longer! (also as a side note I booked this on Priceline and it was $500 cheaper per night than on their website! So book through a budget website)

We spent the day by the pool eating fruit and the yummiest croissants (blah I totally didn’t diet in Italy) and exploring the grounds before heading to Positano. Atticus was being so funny and though it was hilarious throwing the coins in the pool and making dad go get them.Β Can we all agree that Italy is one of the best places ever!?!?!?

Also, the winner for the baby moon giveaway is….. Chelsea Gautier! I have emailed you, so check your inbox!!! And sorry it took so long to announce – the first couple randomly selected were fake entries so I was trying to sift through them and make sure the person was actually pregnant and needing a baby moon haha! πŸ™‚ thanks to all who entered! We will try to host another giveaway soon! xo

  1. Amber your family and blog are absolutely stunning! Have you ever, or would you, put together an itinerary of your travels?
My husband and I are planning to travel to the Amalfi Coast next year and would love some tips/recommendations.
All my best to you and your family!!

  2. Hey I have been checking your blog out for years and LOVE it! I love your posts from Italy as it is my current home! I am also American but live here and have finally started my own blog on traveling Italy, and seeing some of the more “off beaten trail” beaches and hot spots. Please check it out!

  3. I was in Positano the same time as you and was so sad to have missed you! I’m glad you guys enjoyed it as much as I did!

  4. Amber this post was one of my favorite because my family and I just returned from Italy, shortly after you had been there for your vacation, and seeing your pictures got me all the more excited! Italy was a dream and I will definitely be going back with my husband and our future little ones one day. We did more Northern parts of Italy, Sondrio, Venice but worked our way further south because we too rented a van to fit all of us! We visited Cinque Terre and it was beyond beautiful but next trip I’d love to do the Almafi coast; Ive heard only the best things about its beauty. Last thought–is it possible to diet in Italy πŸ˜‰ Thanks for sharing your beautiful travels as well as insights into your life.

  8. Hey gorgeous!! amazing pictures. You inspire me to travel around the world and visit the amazing places you have visited. I was wondering what type of camera do you guys use?

    xoxo tati

  9. Please do a post telling how you get around from city to city. Obviously you had a car. Just GPS? Or do you normally take a taxi. We have only explored European countries that we can take a train or metro from the airport. ????

  10. Wow, all those photos are gorgeous! Amalfi looks so, so amazing. I NEED to visit one day! Those photos of David and Rosie just kill me. Ugh. Dying. Dead. Too cute.

But I need Rosie’s swimsuit information! They are too adorable!!!!

  17. Beautiful!! Could you tell me where David’s cloud swim trunks came from?

  18. I’ll never forget the first time I saw the Amalfi Coast it’s so stunning! You, Rosie and Atticus all look so happy, healthy and beautiful which makes me so glad to see! I love keeping up with you all on Snap (and I’m also really loving David’s new youtube video’s if you can pass along that I say Hi and great job! The father’s day one brought tears to my eyes – so cute!)

  19. Rosie looks like a mini adult!!! She is totally rocking that ADORABLE swimsuit. Ah it’s so cute!! How do you live with so much cuteness?? πŸ™‚

  20. what app do you use to edit your photos? They are all so cute & the colours are so pretty and vibrant!

    1. Thank you! I use a program called Lightroom and I also use the app VSCO πŸ™‚

  21. You’re family is perfect! You are so inspiring! I love your fashion sense and how family oriented you are. I’m looking for some advice! I am marrying my high school sweetheart this fall and I’m having a hard time finding cute, affordable wedding shoes with a low heel (preferably less than 2.5 inches). Any recommendations?? Thank you!

    1. Check out Yosi Samra shoes. https://www.yosisamra.com They are so comfortable and you will be able to wear them even after the wedding. Of course, it depends what style you were going for, but it’s an idea.

    2. You are too kind!! Thank you so much Brianna!! And I wore my mom’s wedding shoes on my wedding day so they were vintage, but I agree with Rachel below, if you want a cute flat, Yosi Samra has a wedding line that is amazing! They are so dang comfy! I remember I ended up taking my shoes off because I was sick of heels so that’s an option πŸ™‚ Norstrom has a wedding shoe page online so I would check that out too!! And most importantly, congrats to you!! What an exciting time!! xo

    1. You are too kind!! Thank you SO much πŸ™‚ and aww how cute! I love hearing that!

  23. How do you travel all the time? Can you make a video on how? My dream is to travel like you but I am a college student and can not afford it. Do you get sponsored? Do you have a job? Spill the secrets!!!!

    1. David and I run my blog full time πŸ™‚ We are fortunate enough to have flexible jobs that allow us to take our work wherever we go. We do get sponsored trips but we also pay for our own trips too! No matter where we are, we have sponsored blog posts going up during the week, so that’s how we make money while we are away. I hope that helps!

    1. How fun!! I am sure you have other amazing countries you are going to but you should definitely travel Italy at some point in your life πŸ™‚ You won’t regret it!

First I wanted to say that I love your blog, I have been following you and your family for about two years now and it has been so cool to watch your family grow and see all your adventures. -Emma

    1. Thanks so much for following along over the years, that means so much to me!! And some of my favorite places to eat are Jacob’s Pickles, Sarabth’s, Norma’s, Joe’s Pizza, Lenny’s, Big Gay Icecream, and Waffles and Dinges. And I would definitely go to the Top of the Rock and walk across Brooklyn Bridge! But like you said, I am sure your list has most of the things I would suggest πŸ™‚ Have a blast!! xo

Could you share the details of where you bought it please? Your family is so beautiful and it makes me look forward to the day my family will get to take wonderful trips together like this!

  35. Hi Amber! A question very important for me, since I’d love to go to Amalfi in September with my hubby and our 16-month daughter: did you rent your car WITH a car seat for Atticus? If yes, was it a difficult process, or is it more of a usual request? Or did you bring Atticus’ car seat with you from the U.S.? I’d soo much appreciate and thank you for this info! xoxo Maggie
