This last week we rented a sprinter van and headed up to Vermont with some friends, the Davis family (I am sure you read their blog). They headed home early and we went to Woodstock for an extra day. It is the cutest little town ever!! On our way there we detoured and saw a couple sites and then laid low at the hotel. We stayed at the cutest Inn called On the River Inn. They had a pool so David took Atticus swimming and we tried getting him more comfortable with the water. He used to LOVE it but somewhere along the way he got really scared of the water. David played some games with him and by the end he was doing kicks and trying to jump in on his own :0 (scared face).
The morning we left for Vermont, Atticus woke up with a cough and I dont think he was feeling very good because he kind of had a rough weekend. The only reason I really wanted to go to Vermont was because I have been dying to take him sledding – I thought for sure he would have such a blast but he wasn’t terribly into it haha. He just sort of smiled and watched and laughed as he ate snow.. but I totally thought he would be flipping out! It made me think how funny it is that us as parents spend so much time and effort into some things we THINK they will just love only to find out they aren’t into it ha. That has happened a few times with crafts I found on Pinterest and tried to make for him (like who doesn’t love green slime or cornstarch and water or foam etc… ?! a cardboard box or train is much preferred!) But I think next time we sled when he is feeling a little better he will like it more….. hopefully. This last day in Woodstock he was feeling better and was a LOT happier as you can tell 🙂
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! xo
