We are done teething over here and Atticus is back to his normal self!!!! PARTY!!!! Plus the weather the last couple days has been cooling down, we have been spending lots and lots of time at the park. Its so funny because having a dog we have learned the areas of the park that are the “poop zones” ha and it makes me cringe when I see families picnicing in these areas but I guess if you’re not taking a dog to the bathroom multiple times a day you wouldn’t think to look out for it. We know the good spots though where no dogs go and its free of poop and we try to stick to those πŸ˜‰ Yesterday a couple little boys around A’s age came up to play with Chauncey and Atticus got sooo excited as if he was so proud to show off his dog – he started to get extra cuddly with him and wanted to show the boys all their tricks.. it was so funny it was cracking me up.

David apparently starts some “diet” tomorrow so today we are going to eat naughty things and probably hit up Big Gay Ice Cream and Faiccos (I have been dying to try that place for the last few weeks, it looks so unbelievably good). We might go to the U.S. Open and probably a trip to Brooklyn. And I signed up for a Brittney Spears and Christina Aguilera themed Soul Cycle class so its gonna be a goooood weekend!!!

We have a fun trip planned that we leave for next week and I can’t wait for you guys to see where we are going – it is a place we have been trying to get to for a while! We are still trying to work it out where Chauncey can fly with us – but man do those airlines make it tough. We have spent hours and hours on the phone with them and blah blah but basically big dogs get the shaft when it comes to flying πŸ™ I am praying my little heart out it ends up working and he can come, we already have a dog friendly hotel and everything just in case!

XOXO

  9. Hi Amber! Great post, you look amazing! You definitely have that pregnancy glow πŸ™‚
I so admire you and your beautiful family. I look at your blog daily, I love all your tips and all of your awesome pictures.
Anyways, several months ago you made a Beauty post where you didn’t wear makeup and you mentioned that you plucked your eyebrows too much in high school. I’m now in college and realizing I made the same mistake- I’m super self-conscious about it????. However, your eyebrows look amazing and I would never have guessed that you had any problems with them. I know you’ve said before that you use Brow Bar to Go, but I was wondering if you could do a tutorial showing exactly how you apply it and make it work for you?!

  10. Hey amber, we have a labradoodle who we take Everywhere! If you get Chauncey service dog certified the airlines let you bring your dog on board with you!

    1. Please don’t do that. Service dogs are for people with disabilities. I have a service dog that I actually need and it’s so frustrating that people exploit this.

  11. Amber that’s so nice that Atticus is better! I love your dress it looks so fresh, I have a dog just like Chauncey and believe me I have learned the spots =D

    1. Thanks so much Marina!! He is feeling so much happier yay! And oh yes, glad you can relate as a dog owner haha πŸ™‚

    1. Aww thank you so much!! These are some of my favorite pictures of our family πŸ™‚ Thanks for reading!! xo

  12. Looks like the perfect day for the park! Who takes these photos of all of you? Can’t wait to hear where you’re going, I always love your travel posts πŸ™‚

  14. I love these photos!!! So cute! Hope you have a great time on your trip, can’t wait to go along with you via internet. Hope puppy can come! <3

    1. also, one more question because I am just curious…will girl baby have her own room or will she share with Atticus until you guys have more room? I know NYC apartments are tight with space so just wondering if she was going to share with big bro!

  15. Sounds like you have a great trip coming!! You and your little family are definitely living an adventurous life and that will mean a lot to your kids as they’re growing up. Beautiful photos once again and your maxi is amazing!

  16. Oooh see if you can get Chauncy to fly as an ESA (emotional support animal). It’s a fairly simple procedure (you just need a dr’s note and vet records). Any animal can fly in the cabin and is guaranteed a spot. Bonus that you don’t have to pay any fee for them to do this. I took my pup (@bodeythebostonterrier on IG you can see pics of him on the plane) to Palm Springs with me for New Years, and we even lucked out to where he had his very own seat (just the luck of the draw on that one), but they don’t have to be in any sort of carrier and can ride in the cabin. The only real legitimate things ESAs can do is related to travel and housing (i.e. if you’re renting a place that doesn’t allow pets this would allow you to have yours). Good luck and happy travels!

    1. As someone with PTSD I think it is disgusting that people exploit this. Your dog is not an ESA unless you have issues and NEED them. Just because it’s easy to get a doctors note doesn’t mean you should do it. People who do this should be ashamed of themselves.

      1. I agree with Eliza, I have PTSD and don’t even have ESA papers for my dog because I can travel without her as long as I take medication. My Aunt, on the other hand, really does need her dog to travel after my Uncle unexpectedly passed away while boarding a flight. Obviously, my Aunt was traumatized and absolutely cannot board a plane without the support of her dog. People who abuse ESA’s make me want to vomit.

  17. That picture of you and David kissing with Atticus trying to get in on the action is adorable!

    Happy Friday!

    1. It was so nice!! Thanks so much!! You are so sweet!! Thank you for reading Lexy!! xo

  18. So who takes care of Chauncey while you are away on the days you can’t bring him? From a curious non-dog owner haha

  19. Ok, so this might sound far fetched but it worked for us! If you have your dog as your emotional support companion and get a letter from a DR saying that your dog helps you, then they HAVE to let him fly with you in the cabin! Ask your Dr!!

    1. Your dog is not an ESA unless you have an issue that warrants it and you NEED them. Just because it’s easy to get a doctors note doesn’t mean you should do it. People who do this should be ashamed of themselves.

      1. Hi Eliza! Thank you for your comment. If you were shaming me for having my pet as an ESA well, I have appropriate documents from a pshyciatrist and therapist. I’ve been through extensive counseling, medication and therapy and my dog has been my best motivation. So you are more than welcome to keep your negative comments to yourself or take them elsewhere! Thanks

        1. I don’t think it sounds like she was shaming you specifically, just the suggestion that someone/anyone should do this just do they can travel with their pet.

  20. That’s another gorgeous dress! You look so cute as a preggo lady. ???? That’s too bad about Chauncey! I hope you get it sorted out.

  21. I love this post of you and your family! So glad to hear the teething is over, love to know Atticus is back to his happy self.
I hope you get to bring C with you on your trip!

    1. Thanks so much Jillian!! I am so happy about it too! He is feeling so much better πŸ™‚ Thanks for your sweet comment!! xo

    1. I just looked back at the pictures and you’re totally right haha! I think it is the filter used on these πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks so much Carly!! I am so glad he is done teething too! More smiles and giggles lately πŸ™‚ Have a great day!! xo

  22. gorgeous photos! just a small note: the airlines make it difficult for large animals to travel for a reason – it’s actually pretty stressful for dogs and uncomfortable for them to fly. they get put in the cargo area and just so much can go wrong, given the fact that there’s no one checking on them during the flight and uncontrollable things can happen re: changes in temperature, cabin pressure, etc. he’d be much happier staying local and being pampered at a nice, clean doggie daycare while you’re away! I hope you have a wonderful trip where ever you’re going:)

    1. Thanks so much Megan!! And omg isn’t that adorable?! It made me so happy! And I hope so too!! We would love to have Chauncey with us! Thank you for reading!! xo

  23. Love your dress- it’s beautiful!!! Also can’t wait to hear where you guys are going- I love how adventurous your crew is! I have a question and totally need some advice- my baby is due in just a couple weeks, and I know you wear a hospital gown, but after delivery and showering, do you have some advice or favorites of what to put on? It’s such an awkward time, with family and friends coming to the hospital, and you want to look at least semi decent! Would love some advice here- thanks so much!!!

  24. Chauncey’s face when he carries his own leash is hilarious!! I also think it’s so wonderful that you guys really care so much about where Chauncey is when you go on vacation. It’s always nice to see pets being treated right πŸ™‚ eyelashglitter.com

    1. Haha so funny!! I love it πŸ™‚ And aww thank you so much!! We wish we could take him on every trip with us!! Hopefully it works out πŸ™‚

  25. Oh man what great pics!! I’m sooo happy he’s feeling better with his little teeth! whew! Question…we’re thinking of getting a Golden Retriever, but how do you keep your home and clothes and things from their hair being all over? Do they shed badly? I cannot wait to check in and see your next adventure πŸ™‚ You’re looking aaaamazing…like seriously the most gorgeous pregnant gal ever! All the best!
    Terrell from OK

    1. I wanna know about the hair too! I have a bulldog and I feel like I always have hair everywhere!!!

    2. Thanks so much Terrell!! I am glad you liked the post πŸ™‚ And it is really hard with all the hair!! It seems to get everywhere haha! We sweep like everyday and try to keep Chauncey off the furniture. But there isn’t really a solution πŸ™ Also, we try to brush him so he won’t shed as much!! xo
