After Boston we had an extra half day with our rental car so we headed downtown and for treats and then went to Battery Park! We found a splash pad and I’m not positive that it was dog friendly but there were a few other dogs getting their splash on so we figured what the heck. Chauncey and Atticus were cracking up together while getting soaked – it was THE BEST thing ever to watch!!!! Then we watched street performers, ate while Atticus played with some stones half naked ha, and then walked along the water and headed home. Atticus passed out in the car in the way home and he was covered in dirt which means it was a really good day.

Hope you guys are having a good week! We are in Bora Bora and lovvving it! Xo

  1. try a mei tai for wearing baby on your back! it’ll allow you to back carry higher and more snugly, which won’t be as tough on your back and your shoulders and will be more comfortable for everyone. 🙂

  2. Hi, I love this dress. I was wondering if you had nursed your little boy while wearing it and if it was easy.
    Thanks in advance!!

    1. Hi!! Thanks so much! I am so glad you like it 🙂 I haven’t tried nursing while wearing it yet but I imagine it would work great for it. Sorry I couldn’t be more help! Thanks for reading!! xo

  3. I just found your Instagram and then the blog. I love the pictures. They are like a Vogue family story. Well taken and put together. We are in London and just got back from a trip so it was just the thing to cheer me up! I want to buy that dress, does it run true to size? There are no comments re fit on the Asos website so wondered how you found it (bearing in mind you are pregnant!)
    Best wishes 🙂

  4. Hi! LOVE reading your blog, your pics are always so amazing. What camera do you guys have and do you edit your pics with software? I have a Canon and I just mess around with it as a hobby, and I have Photoshop Elements but I really don’t know what I am doing on there! LOL. I love the color in your pics, so I just had to ask!

  5. Hey Amber,

I recently discovered your blog and I’m really enjoying reading it. I am pretty similar to you as I have a 14 month old and i am expecting my second in December…Anyways I was just wondering if you were going to buy a double stroller? if so which one are you thinking about getting?

    Thanks Kate

    1. Hi Kate!!

Thank you so much for your comment!! I am so glad you are following along now, it makes me so happy! And yes, we are planning on getting a double stroller but still deciding on which brand!! Once I make a decision I will let you know 🙂 Do you have any brands in mind? Let me know what you think!! And congrats on your second, how exciting!!

      xoxo, Amber

  6. I look at your blog from time to time, and it had been a while since I had seen it. I see your darling instagram posts, and I felt like checking out your blog on my downtime at my mundane desk job.
I have been going through a terribly rough breakup–I shall spare details except that he was my friend’s ex who encouraged me to go out with him, then she hated me, then he spoke of how abusive she was to him, then we broke up several months later, now he’s dating her again.
I am LDS, he is not, but he was showing interest, and we both thought we would marry each other. It was very beautiful, and obviously not so much now. I am now reminded of all of the darkness that is the world, and I feel so much sorrow on a daily basis for him personally–because I love him and he is making bad decisions, but also I feel much sorrow on behalf of the world.

All of this back story brings me to my point: I am so grateful that I decided to browse through your blog today. Although it’s very light-hearted and usually superficial (not in a negative way by any means, only that it’s about beauty/fashion/etc–which I also love!), it brings me so much peace to see your posts with your sweet baby and husband. It reminds me that there is something greater in store for me, and that I need not be sad. I read your posts, and I can sense the magnitude of love you have for your family, and it is beautiful. Thank you for sharing these bits of your life with the world; I’m sure they brighten others’ days as they do mine.

    1. Hi Erin!!

Thank you so much for your comment, I appreciate you taking the time to write your thoughts. I am so sorry you are going through a hard time right now. It breaks my heart to hear this 🙁 Breakups can be so hard, especially when it involves other friends like that. Take this time to focus on yourself, you deserve to be happy and enjoy life 🙂 Thank you for the positive feedback on my blog, I am so glad you follow along!! Love ya girl!! Keep your head up!!

      xoxo,
      Amber

  7. Hey Amber + Co. !

Well I can’t say enough about how adorable your family is! I am absolutely in love with your braid tutorials (I wish you had more!!!) I have tried all your braids on my long blonde hair (no extensions and not as long as yours) and I’m always getting compliments! Thank you SO much for the wonderful step/by/step tutorials on youtube! A few things:

    1) I live in SF and have been here since you’ve come to visit a few times. I would LOVE to meet you in person. I noticed you informed locals near Madonna Inn, but didn’t do the same for SF? Do you tweet or IG when you’re in town?

    2) What shoes do you recommend for long distant of walking? Since I moved to the city, I’ve only been wearing Clark’s shoes. Have you seen them lately? They have really become fashionable! But I’d love some variety. You are now preggers with little baby #2 and traveling a lot. Can you speak to your shoes more? Or have you? and can point me to the right blog?

    1. Hi Chayne!! Thanks so much for your comment, you are so sweet!! I am so glad you like my braid tutorials yay!! I bet you are a braiding pro by now 🙂 And yes, if I do meet ups, I post about them through Twitter usually and/or Instagram. Unfortunately depending on how much time I have on our trips I may or may not do one. I would love to meet you as well!! I hope to go back to SF soon 🙂 Also, I haven’t done any posts lately dedicated to shoes particularly, but that is great suggestion. I will keep it in mind for future posts, thank you!! When I travel I usually stick to some comfy tennis shoes like Nikes. I will link a pair I love below!

    1. Thank you so much!! That means a lot to me!! I am so glad to hear that 🙂 And yay!! It is always fun to add some much needed color into a wardrobe! xo

  19. How do you keep Atticus from pulling your hair when you carry him on your back? I’d like to try to carry my son like that but he’s always grabbing my hair!

    Sarah

    1. We haven’t had a big problem with that luckily!! But I would suggest giving your son something to hold so he is preoccupied and won’t tug 🙂 Or put your hair up!! xo
