Barefoot BlondeBarefoot BlondeBarefoot BlondeBarefoot BlondeI was cleaning out my pictures and realized that I never shared these photos or the tutorial that I made for this look, and I wanted to because it’s one of my favorites! I made it a little less messy than the runway look just so that it can be worn as more of an everyday look. I put it up on YouTube a while ago but wanted to share it here as well. The technique in general is one that can be used for lots of different styles! It is getting back into Fashion Week time.. just a couple more weeks and I am so excited – but as much as I love seeing all of the amazing pieces I think I might enjoy backstage seeing the hair get done more 🙂 Remember if you recreate it to tag me @amberfillerup and use the hashtag #barefootblondehair

  1. Thanks very much for this great tutorial! Love it. If you ever get a chance, I would love a make-up tutorial for your look in this video and I also wondering if you could share the nail polish you’re wearing; it’s beautiful!

    Thanks!

  2. So lovely! Can’t wait til my hair is a bit longer, fishtails aren’t really working out with all my layers at the mo! X

  3. I love that braid!!
I will have my husband try it out on me!
I am 16 weeks pregnant and I find out tomorrow what the gender is!!
Anyways I am hosting my first sponsered giveaway on my blog! I am working with the film Living on A Dollar which is currently on Netflix! Go watch it! It’s a beautiful film about Guatemala! That’s where I was born!

    1. Oh my gosh congratulations that’s so exciting! I’ll have to check it out, thanks!

    1. Thanks, yes I like the messy look but I wanted something a little more refined. Glad you like it!

  4. Oh I love this!! So I have a random question, is it possible to get 24 inch extensions from LacedHair extensions? I think that is where you said you got yours in your last extension tutorial but I wasn’t sure.

    1. Thanks girl you’re too sweet! Yeah I like the messy look but for me it was a bit too messy so I went with something a little more refined. Glad you like it!

  5. I’m so happy you shared this! I’m thinking this could actually work on my extremely thick hair. Do you use dry shampoo or texturing spray on most of your braids? I feel like mine tend to fall apart by the end of day when I do large braids like this.

    1. Thanks girl! Yes I often do when on these types of chunkier messier braids. Glad you like it!

    1. Practice DEFINITELY makes perfect. I still mess up all the time too, so don’t worry:)

  6. LOVE this style of braid! My hair is super long these days and I’ve been all about the braid…it’s so sassy and cute! Thanks for the tutorial, I’m trying this today!

Random question but I was wondering – who did your blog design? I absolutely love the layout! Thanks 🙂

Glad you like the layout, I had a local company do it last year. Thanks!

    1. Thanks girl! Yeah I like it to be messy but I was going to a little less messy, more refined look. Thanks!
