Today is day two of my hair diary and I decided to recreate a look that Kristen Bell wore on the red carpet (see here). I love all the fun braids celebrities are wearing to events lately so I thought it would be fun to do tutorials of some of my favorites so let me know if you have any requests of ones you guys have loved!

We had to shoot this at night since my day was so hectic – I worked a 15 hour day (running off almost no sleep and 5 months pregnant mind you!) filming and shooting an upcoming project and was so beat. Ty came over and we ordered take out and I tried to put on my game face 🙂

My hair is still super silky smooth from using my TRESemmé 7 Day Keratin Smooth System and is probably due for a wash so I am excited to see how smooth it holds up after! I will definitely be posting on here and let you know.

Here are the step by steps for this look:

1. Take a three inch section from the front of your hair and split into 3 and begin french braiding back. Secure with rubber band.

2. Take section on either side and split into two. Braid each piece holding it backwards (so it won’t have a bump when you pull it back)

3. Take both braids and secure the ends on the back of your head and repeat on other side.

4. Tuck or pin any stray ends and finish with TRESemmé Extra Hold Hair Spray!

Hope you guys have a good weekend! xx

  1. How did you get your hair that colour?? What do you do to it! Ive been trying to the grow out my bleach blonde to my natural light blonde, but I’m loving what your doing.

    1. I break my base with a 7N in Goldwell and then use bleach and 30 vol. for my highlights!! 🙂

  2. You look gorgeous! The hair is amazing and that lip color is perfect! I hope you are enjoying NYFW!

    1. Thanks! And yeah it definitely takes a little bit of time just since you are braiding but it is pretty simple overall! 🙂

  3. so so cool!!
